Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe description of the Dom-Hotel mentions air conditioning, but all we could find was a device that resembled a fan, and I doubt it would be able to counteract serious heat. As we were there in May, all we had to do was tip the windows open and use our earplugs. You can hear church bells quite clearly, but we didn't find them disturbing, and they don't seem to be in use late at night. The hotel is modern and somewhat lacking in charm, but the staff and the breakfast more than make up for that.
The staff at the Dom-Hotel is very welcoming and accommodating. There is an elevator (though not for the steps leading down from the taxi stop), and the rooms, though snug, are clean and pleasant. Plenty of room for 2 people in terms of storage for clothes and toiletries. The rooms also have a small fridge and a safe. The restaurant that used to be in the hotel has closed, but the breakfast buffet is vast and there's lots of good coffee available. We could leave our luggage in their storage room after checking out on the morning of our second day in Worms, and retrieved it without any trouble as we were traveling by taxi on our way to the train station at the end of the day. It's an easy walk (just a few blocks) from the hotel to the Dom (Cathedral) and the Heylshof museum, and not much further to the Jewish cemetery (11th century, the oldest in Europe) or the excellent city museum. You can also walk to the medieval Jewish quarter with its synagogue and ritual bath (the latter currently under restoration and not accessible), and to the banks of the Rhine. The Osteria La Vita, a good Italian restaurant with nice wines, is about a block away from the hotel, and we had a fine lunch there for 40 Euros. You need a taxi to get out to the Restaurant Stolpereck in the Horchheim part of the city, but it's worth the taxi fares both ways. An excellent family-run restaurant with imaginative cuisine including first-rate steaks. Not cheap, but one of the nicest restaurant experiences we've had in recent years. We were there on a Wednesday night and it was quite full, so reservations are recommended. It may be a bit more of a challenge if you don't speak any German (my husband and I are German/American dual citizens and speak both languages), but I suspect it wouldn't be. Worms is definitely worth a trip, and the price of an overnight at the Dom-Hotel is very reasonable.

PolandThe cleaning staff was doing an amazing job my whole stay there from what I've seen, but it's def time to change the carpeting. The one in my room was really worn and with some old stains/discoloration.
Very friendly staff, I had absolutely no problem communicating in English. Perfect location with a nice view. Really tasty breakfast with good selection, I could try various fresh German breads, and staff in the restaurant was quick and nice.

United StatesThe receptionist when we left was hesitant to let us keep our car in their empty garage for an extra hour after checkout. I am glad she decided to let us, but her reluctance when it had no impact on preventing early arrivals (if there were any) destroyed any goodwill. It would have been so easy to just say, ‘Of course, but could you please leave by 12:00 as we are expecting other guests, or doing maintenance, et al.’
Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Perfect location for the Wormser Christmas market right outside the door. Near the cathedral. Very friendly and helpful breakfast attendant Anna. Good breakfast. Private Parking garage was very close and easy to access.

United StatesThe hotel overall was wonderful, staff fantastic and facilities excellent. Our room itself looked a bit tired with wear and tear. The couch and chairs in the living room, while clean, were stained which left a feeling of discomfort when considering to sit on them. The rolling shade in the shower had a bit of mildew, which also left a feeling of discomfort and the rolling shade in the bedroom was frayed. A bit of an update in those arenas would bring future reviews to the 5 star level.
We very much enjoyed the size of the room. Our room was cleaned and organized everyday without any disruption and so quickly. It was lovely. The breakfast was welcoming and the staff, while dining, were wonderful. It was nice to take this in every morning. The location was in the heart of everything, which made it perfect and left little need to drive very far.

United KingdomDifficult to find the hotel with sat nav because of one way systems and pedestrian areas, The water in the minibar was 6EUR where most hotels its complimentary. The recycling lorry woke me up very early but thats not thr fault of the hotel.
You can easily walk to the centre of Worms from the hotel, comfortable room, helpful staff. They have underground parking.

United StatesBed and pillows werent terrible, but could have been more comfortable. The corner cubicle shower, while space-saving is just not awesome to use. It get water outside and does not give you much room to move around. Also, theres a fair bit of noise from outside the hotel.
Breakfast was ok. Neighbors were quiet. Room had a mini-fridge, which was nice. Plenty of available plugs. Nice staff. Great location!

The location is probably as central in worked as it gets. The staff was excellent and kind. I had a nice room with a view on a central square. Nevertheless the room was quiet at night and I sleeped very well.
