My room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice. It was a bit tricky to find as the main entrance is down a short tunnel, but the signs are there if you take your time.

Great location as you can walk from the hotel and explore the town. The included breakfast was exceptional. The bed wasn't the best as it sagged a bit. I mentioned this to the staff and they were wonderful in fixing the problem.

The entrance is by some nightclub or similar but don’t let this put you off, the front door works perfectly, instructions are clear, there were no problems, it seemed perfectly safe and easy. My phone reception wasn't very good in the room, so not sure how well this would work for people planning to work from the hotel room. I have not used the hotel wifi though, so that might work instead.

The location is brilliant, right in the historic centre – turn one way and you are walking in quiet, old streets, turn another and you are in the middle of a busy pedestrianised shopping street, yet the hotel itself is quiet. If your luggage is not to heavy for the 15 minute walk from the station, then I would recommend this one over the hotels by the station. The staff is not only caring but professional and experienced, and there is always someone on hand. The room was large and with ample desk space.

The entrance to the hotel gives a wrong impression of the hotel. I felt as if I was in the wrong place.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. Overall very good value for money.

A safe deposit box could be necessary. I had to keep with me some valuables all the time, instead of placing them in a potential safe deposit box.

I tripped on one of the steps coming through a door. Not something easily fixible, except maybe an arrow saying look down. But that was the only thing I didn't like and it isn't a huge complaint from me (just me being unobservant).

I really like the breakfast selection and staff in the dinning area was very friendly!

Exceptional location minutes walk from the old and new towns and the Metro (to the airport in 20-30min). Good staff helpful and attentive and friendly. Have travelled for many years over 60 countries but breakfast here has to be one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve had in a ‘budget’ hotel. Exceptional choice and quality including salmon.

I wish the breakfast would be even better. Not that it was really bad - actually, it was good, including many types of bottled juice and individual packaging / portions of vegetables, nuts, fruits&berries. But coffee was quite tasteless, and also pastry ended very quickly 2 days in a row. Consider asking for a different pillow straight away. Also, please note that there's a night bar the next door to the hotel, so the gallery to the hotel entrance may look not the most welcoming and smells with cigarettes quite strong - not that it's a big deal, just be mentally prepared for that.

Location - the property is located in the city center, and only around 12 minutes away by foot from the main train station. The room was freshly renovated, and even had a contact-less charging system for modern smartphones. Bathroom was not the same fresh, but in the same time there's nothing to complain about - clean and functional, without any major flaws. There was also an old-school trousers press in the room. Staff was very helpful, e.g. they helped to obtain a different pillow, as the original one was very uncomfortable. Overall, we're very satisfied with the stay here and will definitely consider Avenue Hotel again should we be back to Nürnberg.
