How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is right on the Nürburgring, so fantastic. The rooms are absolutely OK. Breakfast is very good. Everything is modern, luxurious and clean. Great deal.

After the check-in it is completely unattended, you have to go to the other hotel to find someone. It could have costed something less, but the position allows them to choose higher prices.
Position is obviously top for reaching both the circuits. Parking has lot of space. Very quiet until cars start running on the GP track. Several places to eat nearby. You can reach the museum by foot. Breakfast was good.

The hotel has no coffee shop or bar. Just a vending machine, so you need to leave the hotel to get snacks and drinks.

Only one bottle of water supplied for two people sharing a twin room. We stayed a second night it wasn't replaced. No fridge.

No air conditioning in the rooms. And there are no staff at the hotel itself. That involves walking down the road to the Congress Hotel. Although it is only about 2 minutes away if that.
Location, rooms were clean and tidy and staff very friendly. Good breakfast.

Felt a bit souless as did not see a single person the whole time, and everything felt like it was closed or no longer used. Breakfast was at the other hotel across the road, just felt a little strange to me.
Room was very nice, if a little basic, view from the window was great as was the location, ideal for using the track or GP circuit.

The refund policy for a last minute cancellation was draconian, despite asking for a room credit or a more reasonable cancellation fee the hotel management insisted on a 90% fee, with no flexibility at all. Bare this in mind when making your booking.
Very good location, rooms and breakfast. Parking was reserved as requested. Overall a great hotel.

Check-In: When we wanted to check in at the correct check in times, the automated check-in system kept on saying our room wasn't ready. We returned two hours later and we got the same error. We phoned reception, only to be told that we needed to do the check in at the main hotel across the street (Nürburgring Congress Hotel). This was a bit of a hassle as we had to move our luggage across the street for the 2nd time. Parking: There were a lot of parking spots open around the hotel but if you don't reserve and pay per day, you are not allowed to park on the hotel premises. Not sure why they can't make it free for their paying guests? There is free open public parking across the street that is a bit of a walk. Pillows: The pillows were almost non-existent (paper-thin) and uncomfortable. Maybe it was just our room? Will be taking my own pillow with next time :)
The breakfast buffet at the main hotel was amazing! Definitely the highlight of our stay at the hotel. The location is perfect for experiencing the whole "Nürburgring vibe". Not in a too crowded area. Restaurants are close by and the central town is walking distance.
