Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceOnly a couple of minor points related to the breakfast that I mentioned above.
Very nice / modern and spacious rooms. I have booked a single room and the room I got was a 3 bedroom, with plenty of space. Double pillows available. The bathroom was also spacious. The location is also very convenient. Tram No 6 (that takes you to the airport) is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The old city center is also very near (less than 10 minutes walk). The main train station also very close. The receptionist was a very polite and helpful person. he suggested places to visit and also a nice restaurant with traditional Bremen dishes. Breakfast was really nice with a variety of hot (fried eggs, sausages etc) and cold options (cheese, salamis etc) as well as fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurt. Something I liked is that the cheese were not just the standard "cheap" type sliced cheese, but also better quality cheese like "camembert", "roquefort". The breakfast room was also spacious. The only minor comment I could make about the breakfast is that there is no "espresso" type coffee (only standard American / French style coffee from a jag). Also the variety of sweet options was limited. But other than this, the breakfast was very decent! Coffee is also available to take away on your way out any time throughout the day. There is also a gym with a nice view on the top floor as well as a sauna (did not use this but the facilities are there)!

PolandThe only downside could be that some of the walls in my room were a bit old-dirty. They just looked dated, eventhough everything else looked very fresh and clean. It's all good though, nothing major.
Hotel was very well located, Very close to the Main Train Station and the city center. It was very close to a number of trams, including nr 6, which goes directly to the Airport. The hotel was comfortable with great receptionist. Seemed renovated recently.

United StatesThe room did not have noise isolation and it was located next to the hall door, which was loud. The pillow options were a bit uncomfortable.
The bed and room were comfortable and had a big bathroom. The breakfast had variety, but the coffee options could have been better. The train station and city center are less than a 10-minute walk.

NetherlandsThis room would not have worked for a person who was not fit as the elevator did not come all the way to our floor, I had to walk up one flight of stairs, The coffee was not good but weak. If you wanted a cappuccino you had to put 2 euros in a slot in the machine and and make it yourself. Ridiculous and no place in a 3 star hotel. The staff were not the friendliest and the selection of food was just OK.
I had a huge room with a great bathroom and excellent bed. It was also very quiet. Perfect for a good night's sleep.

NetherlandsI didn't looked well, but breakfast was in my booking not included. The price is quite something for a breakfast, although it was a very nice breakfast buffet! Parking is on the otherside of the road. Parking is okay, but the hotel doesn't have agreements with the parking garage.
A very nice hotel, very close to the tram and trains. The rooms are very big and look lovely! Everything is clean and people are nice and helpfull. Bed was good, breakfast very good (only check if you included it, otherwise it's very expensive).

UkraineNot the best sound proof, especially with busy street behind the window. Part of the wall near bed had scratches. Information document in the room was only in German.
Central location, easy to navigate around. Room was clean and of good size as for one person. Bed was comfortable. Enough place for clothes and other things. Breakfast had not a lot of options, but all I tried was delicious. But for that price (110 euro per night) I would expect more options.

United StatesThe location was central but right on a very busy street and the rooms tend to face the raised freeway with its energy and noise. Fortunately the sound insulation with closed windows was pretty good.
It was surprisingly well-appointed and comfortable given the busy street and unattractive exterior. The room was large and with good amenities. Breakfast was generally very good.
