Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaUnfortunately, there was a weird smell coming out of the shower, and it got progressively worse as our stay went on. There were also dark spots on the bed rest which looked very dirty. The room was also very small but manageable. The wifi's strength was a bit weak at times. Our door rattled a bit as well. Though they were generous enough to keep our bags after checkout, it would be better if they offered something safer than just a cabinet, which was also filled with other people's belongings, as anyone could have snatched up our stuff.
The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The complementary drinks in the mini bar in our room were a nice touch. The bed & pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked. The fact that the breakfast was part of our price was nice, though it is nothing out of the world, but definitely worth it. Good value for money for those who are not planning to spend a lot of time in their hotel room.

AustraliaIs a bit of a walk to central old town but plenty of public transport around due to proximity to main train station. Bed was quite small and only 1 duvet for 2.
Aircon in summer was a lifesaver. Really good value for money.

AustraliaMy air conditioning seemed to stop working during the night. I could only have the fan or heat settings, I tried to call to reception but they didn’t answer (it WAS midnight).
Well located just a short walk from the main train station, metro/tram stop is right out front! The staff were wonderful, the room was clean and spacious, amenities were great especially the free mini bar! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I flew in from Australia and arrived at 8am and was able to access my room almost immediately, the gentleman on the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful any time I had a question. I would definitely stay here again :)

United KingdomThe lift was bad on the day of our arrival and we had to carry our luggages up the stairs 😞
The breakfast was good, the staff at the restaurant gave good service. Loved the location, made our short stay more exciting as it was in the heart of the city The little refrigerator in the room was stocked with an assortment of drinks, that was lovely. Sunny, one of the staff was really kind and friendly and constantly gave us directions navigate the city

United StatesThe elevator was too small and moving very slow between the floors. you will definitely feel claustrophobic even with 2 people inside it. Neighborhood area (around train station) is not very safe to walk at very late night. But overall it was ok.
Location was good, as it is 5 min walk to central train station and about 20 minute walk to old town. Room was clean and big enough to get comfortable with 3 luggage. The thing we liked most was the breakfast about this hotel as there were variety of choices for meat, cheese and even for bakery. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

AustraliaWiFi can drop out and the room was a little stuffy, otherwise this hotel was ideal for our short stay.
An easy walk from the station. A very good value hotel with a comfortable bed and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was fresh and ample, and the omelette made to order was terrific. Highly recommended if you need somewhere clean and quiet to stay near the station.

Thailandsmall elevator. we stayed on the 7th floor but the elevator reached 6th floor. We had to use stairs to go to the room. When we checked in the staff was very nice. He carried our suitcases to our room. But we had to carry our suitcases down on check out day. The light in the room was dim.
Staff were nice and helpful. The room was big enough for 4 persons to stay together. The hotel has been renovating so room was clean and new. Breakfast was good.
