Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

HungaryThe written communication is too confusing. In fact it is not so easy to find the door and entering the code. The communication on access I received was supplemented by extensive disagreement extensive message on local tax. Oh, really? Why this hotel charge its total price in the same time as using the public services?? Isn't it justified? Why to complain for customers?

Hotel at a beautiful old regional style house, refurbished and renewed with care. Although no contact with the personnel, I felt taken care of. Check in well explained and the room was personalized with a touch of local history.

Ukraine1. The property states, at least here, on booking that they feature spa and an open pool, with the open pool being free of charge. In reality, after you have already booked and payed, they send you an email, which states that the spa (with the pool being a part of it, so you can’t access it without accessing the pool) has to be booked separately, which in my case was already too late, since everything was booked already. Moreover, I could not cancel the reservation because of the booking policies. 2. When I brought it up with the stuff, we ended up arguing for at least 40 minutes about how is it my fault that I didn’t know about the spa, and how I did not read the email, which again, I’d like to emphasize, would not change anything since i won’t be able to change of cancel my reservation due to booking. In the end they gave me a free stay in spa for 1,5 hours, assumed that this solves the issue, although, from the description of the hotel I have reasonably assumed that I will have the access to the pool and sauna at all time being a resident of the hotel which features spa, as indicated. Which in all the other situations means that the spa is on the territory of the hotel and can be accessible but guests, unless clearly stated otherwise in advance, ie before the booking and payment is already completed. I asked for the refund but, of course, that was not possible. 3. In the description of room on booking the photos attached do not correspond the reality of rooms, it looks like they have attached photos of all rooms to the specific rooms which results in having at least 3 different room layouts and sizes attached to one room description, which in turn provides unrealistic expectations.
