Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly 1 key provided - not ideal for a group of 4 when we wanted to do different things. The kitchen/dining area is in a windowless hallway, as the main living room has become one of the bedrooms. This meant that the doors to the garden are through one of the bedrooms too.
Spacious bedrooms and a nice communal outdoor area with a dining table should it be required. Huge bathroom with bath and shower and the water pressure was excellent. Towels were provided and the property was cleaned (and towels were replaced) at least once during our 5 night stay, which was a nice surprise. Large smart TVs in both of the bedrooms.

NetherlandsLovely bright apartments. It’s clean, comfortable, cozy, and has everything you need for life, from a hairdryer to an iron and ironing board. The kitchen has absolutely all the necessary appliances and utensils. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to Europe Park, the road is easy. We will definitely come here again 🫶

RomaniaThe property was a little bit dirty, speaking for the bed sheets.
The apartment is situated in Rust, in a residential building with a small parking garage. The rooms are located at the first floor and there is an elevator linking the floor with the garage. The rooms are large, with comfy beds. Also, there are two bathrooms and an open space living room and kitchen.

United StatesUnit 2 Shower Room - There was only a hand towel bar. No where to hang wet towels. The room needs a solid update, especially to resolve the black mold issue. Unit 2 Neighbor noise - Could easily hear kids running around upstairs. Check-in - I was told to contact apartments 10 minutes prior to arrival for key pickup. I did...through the booking messaging tool. No response. I called the provided number and the hostess arrived 10 minutes later. Should probably clarify to "call" not just "contact" 10 minutes prior to arrival. Also, the guest tax of 1€ per night per person was a surprise. Not too big of a deal but it could be more clearly stated in the description and include that it comes with free parking pass at the park. (Then I wouldn't have pre-paid for parking.)
Stayed in units 2 and 5. Unit 5 requires stairs but it is a much better unit overall. Kitchen has an oven, full size fridge and is bigger overall. More coat and towel racks. Beds were very comfortable for European standards. Very friendly and helpful hostess.

NetherlandsThe internet initially didn't work properly, but this was fixed within an hour after arrival! One of the beds was in the living room, but that's okay if the people who get up first sleep there.
Very clean, great location, very friendly welcome. Good service! Nothing to complain about!

United StatesThere is no reception at the site and there is no lock box. Someone has to meet you there to deliver the keys.
It is as close to Rulantica & Europa as possible without paying 700€ a night to stay at the resort. It was very spacious and clean and they provided coffee and tea. Several restaurants nearby for meals.

SwitzerlandDespite the many positives, there were a few downsides to our stay: 1. No Dishwashing Machine: In a unit meant for large groups, the absence of a dishwasher was a significant drawback. Cleaning up after meals became a time-consuming chore that we could have done without. 2. Tight Parking: While the underground garage was appreciated, the parking spaces were extremely tight. If you have a larger vehicle, prepare for a parking challenge. Though this is difficult to address, it's worth noting for those traveling with substantial cars. 3. Lack of Cleaning Equipment: The apartment didn't have basic cleaning equipment like a broom or shovel to tidy up. It would be useful for guests to have these tools on hand to keep the space neat during their stay.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this spacious apartment near Europa Park, and there were plenty of positives that made our trip memorable. 1. Spacious and Comfortable: The apartment easily accommodated our group of 7 people. With well-distributed beds in all rooms, it ensured a comfortable and restful night's sleep for all. Finally, a space that caters to larger groups! 2. Perfect Location for Europa Park: Location matters, and this apartment hit the bullseye. It's just a stone's throw away from Europa Park, making it incredibly convenient for visitors planning multiple days at the park. No long commutes, just more fun. 3. Fresh and Clean: One of the most surprising and delightful aspects was that this apartment didn't suffer from the all-too-common bathroom sewage smell found in many places in Rust. It was a breath of fresh air, both literally and figuratively. The apartment was impeccably clean, which added to our overall positive experience. 4. Efficient Communication: The owner's communication was excellent. We needed extra towels during our stay, and they were promptly provided. It's reassuring to know that the owner is responsive and cares about their guests' needs. 5. Comfort Suggestions: We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the guests' comfort. While not having a washing machine was a minor inconvenience, it would be a valuable addition. Also, for future guests' convenience, a more streamlined key handover process, perhaps through a lockbox or door code, could improve the arrival experience.

Norwaywould be good to have airconditioning during sommer.
We rented a big apartment for 8 people, nice big balcony, spacious apartment and very clean. We where traveling during sommer, warm weather and the apartment would have gotten 10 out of 10 if it had air conditioning. Without the air conditioning it gets 9. Comfortable beds and pillows.

United StatesFor almost the same 2 night cost, we got a much bigger, cleaner and newer apartment when we stayed at Maxim in early Nov. this one had mold on the bathroom ceiling and the beds, pillows and linen were very uncomfortable. The beds in our last apartment may have been just as hard.
Proximity to the park.
