We booked on bookings.com, which stated that payment could be made via card on the date. Upon arrival, the owner was pretty rude and stand-offish and stated he doesn’t really use bookings.com, and stated he only accepted cash. This was inconvenient. Once we paid, etc, the owner warmed up a bit towards us and was pleasant from there on.

The location was good, and easily accessible to the metro.

Floor was dirty, morning of checkout I had to wake up at 8 to give keys although checkout was at 10. Not very clean, showers not so clean, shower head broken and would not stay in place.

Check-in was at 15:00. It is late for a traveller. My bus arrived early and I had to wait outside for at least 2 hours to enter the hotel. There is no lobby to wait. The heating system was closed at night. If it is your first time in Berlin you may want to stay closer to the touristic routes but you may not be able to find these prices there.

It was very close to the birkenstrasse metro station. Room was big and takes daylight well. It was silent and I had no problem at sleeping. Next time I'd stay again if I had no other chance for these prices. There was 2 hours to check-in time (15:00). And they let me drop my luggage to the hotel.

It's unclean. The bedsheets and pillow covers were covered in hair from the last occupant before I came. I had to go buy new ones to use as there was no available space in other hotels close by. The price of 50€ for a night is too expensive as you just get a bed and the bathroom. Room is never cleaned. The towels offered are old and worn out. The things in the room are so unkept the curtains were as brown as anything and very dusty. I was grateful I survived that long without getting sick. It's wrong to call this place a hotel. It's more of a brothel with a bed and bathroom. Everything you'll need to bring yourself.

It's proximity to Turmstr with all the shops there is lovely and it's close to Underground station. The caretaker is also professional

The stay requires deposit for keys and even for using internet. The heater was turned off after 10 or 11 pm and it was really cold outside (-2) - but as I decided to sleep there was not much an issue. There was a lot of noise in the neighboring room.

The place was clean. The water was warm. There was TV that was working, clean sheets. Thanks for that.

Creepy guy that doesn’t know what privacy is run’s this place. He was knocking on us 30 minutes before the check out to inform us that we should leave. And literally was watching every move we did a bit weird.

hard to book. also, were not able to enter the room on time. The desk said to leave at 10am sharp, while at the other hotels check out is at 12pm. Basically the stay was 5 hours shorter than standard 3pm- 12pm next day stay.

It looks old and it is old. My towel had stains on it and smelled a little. The floor was not that clean. You don’t feel comfortable or relaxed. Wouldn’t stay for more than a night.

I thought I would not feel comfortable leaving my stuff there, but there are actually two huge doors and then another one to the actual room.

The blanket cover and the pillow case were dirty. I am honestly unsure if they were old stains that couldn't be washed or new unwashed stains. I put a T-shirt over the pillow case to not touch it directly with my face. The towel was very old (not white anymore). They should really change these objects. Guests are not allowed into the reception (I think it was under renovations/construction, but I realized this later). The man I talked with told me to "wait", I thought he meant to wait while he put out his cigarette (he was smoking in front of the building), and when he opened the door to the reception I tried to follow him. He yelled at me to "wait outside". How would I have known what he meant? After that he talked politely with me though, but maybe just to compensate for the yell. There is a 20€ deposit for the key, unannounced on Booking. I had only 30€ cash with me (the price for the room). After a bit of back and forth I left my driver's license as the deposit.

The shared bathroom was clean. Good WiFi. The bed was comfortable, but read below for other details. It is the cheapest single room I could find in Berlin. It is ~20 minutes by U-bahn to Museum Island.

I wasn't able to pay for my stay by card. Only cash was accepted. The radiator in the room didn't work very well. It was quite cold in the room at times. Bed sheets appeared to have stains on them. There was no safe in the room and I was a little bit anxious about leaving my valuables behind.

It was mostly quiet at the hotel. My basic needs for a stay were covered (towel provided, working shower, wardrobe etc.)
