The room and the facilities were a bit dated but it didn't cause any real issues.

The hotel is located right by the river with pleasant views (if you paid extra) and behind the main town square. It was good to have a kettle inside the room, which is not wide-spread in Germany.

Room was a bit older style, but the comfort was good and well equipped.

Breakfast was very nice, they even provided gluten free break after asking it. Location excellent, all restaurants close by, parking is also easy.

The location is superb, with some rooms overlooking the River Rhein. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Sheets and towels were not changed despite very hot weather. Car parking is terrible and I could never park close to the hotel.

Our only issue, which the hotel has no influence over, was that the traffic on the Rhine and on the railway on the other bank could be a little noisy at night. Our room was not air-conditioned, so we needed to leave the balcony door ajar to let in cool air - this also let in the noise, so sleep was not perfect.

This hotel has a perfect location for those wanting a view of the Rhine and some time to chill in a pretty little town. It's right on the riverfront, overlooking quiet riverside restaurants.. The room we had was quite spacious for a standard double, clean and comfortable. And the balcony, complete with small table and chairs, was perfect for taking in the Rhine. Staff, both at reception and at breakfast, were friendly and helpful and our room was refreshed every day. We enjoyed our four-night stay.

I think if there was room for proper armchairs that would improve the comfort, and maybe the availability of coffee, English tea bags, and milk to buy from reception would be good.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights, having stayed there twice before. We paid €99 for a double room with a Rhine view including breakfast. The breakfast was good quality and whilst not a huge variety, better than a lot of others and plentiful. I find that you get what you give - we have very rarely stayed at any hotel in Germany or Belgium, where the staff are not friendly. The lady who served at breakfast is very nice, and helpful, and always has been in my opinion. The proprietors are friendly and helpful, and gave us travel passes, so we went to Limburg by train one day (well worth a visit if you get out of the station area quickly) and Cochem another day (although it was mainly closed). We would have gone to Linz but there was trouble with the trains on that day. The guest passes saved us around €125 so that paid for more than one night;s stay. The room had a balcony overlooking the Rhine, and it is very interesting and a lovely view.

Guy on reception was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He gave us the guestcard which gave us free public transport (we used it to travel on to Cochem). Our room was lovely with a small balcony looking right onto the river - could not have been more perfect. Breakfast was just basic and ok.
