Perfect location in Detwang just a 15 minute walk from the walls of Rothenburg. Gasthaus Tauberstube is a very nice, comfortable guesthouse, very friendly informative host and an excellent breakfast. Rothenburg is just magical and blew us away. We loved it, highly recommended.

Fantastic stay here. The owner was really friendly and chatty, beautiful location and beautifully clean. Great breakfast. The room was really spacious and comfortable. Great restaurant nearby too. Only 1km from rothenberg (albeit up a bit of a hill) so really well located. This hotel was my wife’s favourite of the whole trip and we are planning to return hopefully.

Really nothing bad to say. The bed is a bit firmer than I’m used to but no big deal.

Comfortable and clean B&B located a 20 minute walk to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The town is small and very quiet but does have a good restaurant across the street and another one located about a 5 or so minute walk away. The B&B is owned and run by a family who were very pleasant, accommodating and responsive. The son does speak English very well. Of note, the walk to Rothenburg is about 20 minutes but is all uphill. The path is lighted so coming back after dark is no problem.

The walk uphill to Rothenburg was lovely, however I suffer froma bad knee so it was a hike. It was about a 15-20 minute walk into the old town up a paved, well-lit path.

Awesome host. They are very accommodating. The room was a very good size with comfortable beds and a sitting area. A full breakfast was served to our table.

In the room we had the Bathroom & shower were separated, with both being spotlessly clean. A soap dispenser in the shower could be added. Neither distracted from our stay.

The host was fantastic. He was very welcoming, and gladly carried our bags upstairs to our rooms. Breakfast was exceptional, with very fresh bread rolls each morning. The host provided enough rolls and food which enabled us to make our lunch for the day. Parking was at the front door. A very quiet location with the windows open at night. A small hotel was approx 20m away which served good food and drinks. It was an easy and scenic walk into Rothenburg.

Beautiful and charming building in a wonderful location which is a fifteen/twenty minute up-hill walk from historic Rothenburg. The rooms were a good size and were very clean and comfortable too. Free and safe parking is available just outside the premises. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were made feel extremely welcome. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us and they went out of their way to accommodate our two young children. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

The family that is running this inn are warm, kind, and accommodating. We arrived on Christmas Eve and they were willing to cook for us in spite of the holidays. The accommodations couldn’t have been more charming and the fairy tale setting will not disappoint even the most seasoned of travelers.
