Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBreakfast is minimalistic and not replenished; therefore, you need to come very early to have some food alternatives. Pillow not comfortable; providing some choice would be nice. The infrared chamber was out of service and should be repaired or removed from the offer; also another sauna was out of service.
Room spacious but not very bright, I would suggest adding some more light for work. Restaurant with excellent staff and good dishes. Parking available during the day, but difficult to find at night. Saunas are clean and always accessible. The possibility to add music would help calm the spirit after a stressful day at work.

NetherlandsIt’s not their fault- but 100 m from the hotel there is a church with the currant clock and plays the melody or bells every 30 minutes or hour through the whole night! Our dog was reacting to each of these and we were awaken all the time… so we were tired in the morning. I can’t imagine the village is happy to have this nightmare and they do not complain?
The hotel restaurant is amazing. We arrived 30 minutes before the closure but they still could offer us full meals and these are delicious! The service was great. Rooms were clean and spacious.

PolandLocation - hotel is in a peaceful area (which is an advantage) however its next to a noisy church where the bell rings every 15 minutes….every hour through whole night. If you want to live in summer time you must open your windows (no AC) and listen to ringing.
Charming hotel in general. V. Good breakfast. Gugle rooms with great level of tidyness.

NetherlandsThe bell tower of the nearby chirch sounded every 15 minutes, so we were forced to sleep with earplugs in and windows closed. No airco in the room and couldn't standup showering due to sloped ceiling over the bath. The sofa-bed was not comfortable.. breakfast was 20 minutes later than announced.
The location and the parking space under the hotel. Bathtub was nice. Also nice to receive some kids games.

BelgiumThe church next to the hotel . We needed to open the window, as it was very hot in the room. The church bells ring EVERY 15 minutes. That's literally crazy. 1 ring at quarter past, 2 rings at half past and 3 rings at quarter to. And full hours get 4 + the time, meaning you'll get 16 rings at midnight. Then at 7 on Sunday morning there was a whole symphony. And it continued at random times. At 9.15 when we were leaving there was another symphony. Something to be taken into account if you travel with kids or if you sleep lightly. So despite the hotel being very nice, I would never stay there in the summer again (hoping it is better with the windows closed).
The hotel was very nice with friendly staff and very nice breakfast. Comfortable beds and spacious room.

NetherlandsThe only fly in the whole was the overwhelming amount of mosquitoes (we stopped counting at ten) and the heat that had built up in the room, an attic room, from the previous days heat. Some mosquito screens and airco would not be amiss. Still we would definitely stay there again.
it was the perfect stop for us. Nearly exactly halfway between Italy and the Netherlands and easily found. The restaurant is closed on Saturday but the accommodation contacted us and asked if we wanted a simple meal. It was an excellent meal and there was enough choice to suite a wide range of people. Meat, Fish and Vegan and plenty for kids. The room was a twin room (for parents and kids) roomy with good beds an excellent shower and everything was clean with a welcoming gift for the kids.
