Beautiful, historic hotel. Perfect location. Lunch in beer garden was delicious. Excellent breakfast buffet with eggs made to order AND included in price. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant on the premises. Room was small but clean. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom and shower were fine. Great value. Highly recommend.

Right off the main square in Rothenburg with parking behind the hotel (9 E) We had a great stay at the hotel. You're in an old building so be prepared for climbing stairs, dipping your head in doorways and odd layouts to rooms but our room was well equipped, large with a good bathroom. The stay was quiet. Beds were very firm. Very good and plentiful breakfast. We had a bit of trouble getting to the parking but more my fault. When your GPS says you have arrived, keep going a bit farther until you see the arched opening to the proper parking lot for the hotel. It was so nice to be able to walk out the door and be in the middle of Rothenburg. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was in an excellent location right in the centre of the old town. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance and the train station was close by too. The room was comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was basic but nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Very centrally located, easy to find the car parking for the hotel, check inn was friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean neat very spacious for a family room. Fabulous view from our window into the old town. Hotel had beautiful old charm that was very fitting for the area. We travelled with 2 small children, would recommend for families due to location size of rooms & downstairs restaurant was lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Toilet a bit small.

Loved the location-right in the center of old town, even our windows gave us an awesome view. The room was very spacious with a a bit of privacy between the two beds. Loved being in such an old historic building with all the historical features. Staff was very pleasant and we enjoyed a delicious dinner on site.

Location is in the center. Easy to walk to all. Staff spoke beautiful English and were very helpful. Parking was available but we needed extra directions to locate it. Once we did it was perfect.

Finding the hotel car park was tricky, ask the hotel before trying. The lighting of the mezzanine area of the first floor is not very good in the evening so getting in and out of the hotel room after dark is inconvenient.

The location is very central to the old part of the city. Effortless access to all attractions. The hotel restaurant serves the best Schnitzel we have tasted in Bavaria. The staff is very helpful and funny.

The hotel was great, the best location. The reception Staff were really welcoming. There is a restaurante at the hotel, it closes very early but the food was delicious. We could park at the back for a fee. Breakfast was also good and the waiters were very attentive and kind.

The liquid soap wasn't good. My hands got dry and cracked (my skin is very sensitive). If the soap could be changed that would make the stay perfect. And that's it. Can't think of a single other thing that we didn't like.

The location of this hotel is stunning - one step out and you're on the main square! The building itself is like a small museum be it exteriors or the interior, it's just perfectly beautiful 14th century house (please remember this fact). There's also a cute 9 and 3/4 room on the second floor! The staff was amazing at everything. They were extremely friendly, helpful, polite and nice. Firstly, me and my sister arrived at the city way before the check in starts and just wanted to leave our stuff at the luggage room but the we were told that we can actually check in right now. Secondly, we didn't have a kettle in the room but were welcomed to ask for hot water at the restaurant (it is on the first floor and is absolutely wonderful) which we did several evenings in a row. The restaurant staff never failed to please us - we had two meals here only because there were some restaurants that I picked months ago so didn't have to have dinner everyday at the same place, but we totally could do so at the Goldener Greifen, The breakfast is included in the price of the room and we've enjoyed every bite and sip of it. Our room was big enough for two people. It was warm even when the heating was turned off and it's a great thing in February. The mattresses and pillows were great, I had good sleep for all 4 nights we were staying here and even my bad neck wasn't hurting.

Breakfast staff assumed we knew how their kitchen / breakfast arrangements worked and got a little cranky when we didn't know what we were doing, otherwise staff were lovely.

Location could not have been more perfect! Right in the centre of old town near the town square. An easy walk to anywhere within the old town and to the town walls to see the view of the valley. Breakfast was basic but good. The room was very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel right on the main walk of Rothenburg. Large clean rooms and great traditional breakfast. Also appreciate the parking behind the hotel. Will definitely be back here the next time we’re in Rothenburg.
