How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pillows could do with an upgrade, and a power point near all the beds would be ideal.
Cute and quaint guesthouse. The room was very clean and cozy with a modern touch, and much more spacious than expected. The bathroom was clean and very modern. Only a 3min walk from both the train station and the entrance to the old town.

The toilet leaked some. I forgot to mention it to the hosts.
It's very close to the train station and generally a 10 minute walk away from the historic center. The room was basic but I cozy. Breakfast was good. It was magical to walk into the town everyday in the snow.

The door of the bathroom is a Glass and can see through inside the bathroom and make me feel unprivacy. Otherwise breakfast is buffet but the Personal not fill food.

Nothing major .. Booking.com didn't show any options for breakfast but was to be separately paid per head at site.
The hotel is nicely located between bahnof and the entrance to the town. The breakfast was simple but good. The room was clean and everything was well arranged and spacious, especially the bathroom.

The location is great. You're a 10 minute walk from aldi and the edeka. And a straight shot to the inner city inside the wall. Location is also about 8 minutes from the train station by walking. Very quiet clean room and for me a very firm bed which was great.

We had the family room on the top floor. It accommodated 2 adults and 3 children well, which is not easy to find. We had our own bathroom in the room and the hotel was within very easy walking distance to the centre of town. The breakfast was also good and the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the traditional feel of the building but the comfortable and modern styled room.

The hotel is a not as modern, but it was excellent value. I would stay again

We were a little disappointed that we could not take a bread roll with us from the breakfast table, but I guess people do abuse this. It was very hot and there is no aircon, but again, just something to be aware of, overall it was a great stay and everything we needed.
Excellent base, close to station and old town. Basic and clean. Good breakfast available.

The only issue was when I booked it said breakfast available. When I arrived I had to pay for breakfast. I thought it was included. I would make it a bit clearer about the cost on the booking site. wasn’t a deal breaker for me but for someone else it may.
The property was located 2 blocks from the old city. The staff were amazing. I would definitely stay again

Stairs are tough. Family room is under the roof, so getting there with kids could be difficult

I'm not sure how well the room was cleaned because there was a web on the wall/table..
A special thanks to the staff - everyone from reception to restaurant was very friendly and helpful. The room was just as on the photos, simple and cosy. Highly recommend visiting the restaurant.
