Rooms, big but very bare and basic. No pictures on the walls, the rooms could do with a small fridge. I expected the room to be cleaner, floors, bin from outside and terrace doors not very clean. No handsoap in the toilet and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty.

Location, peaceful and nice. Restaurants within walking distance.

The room could have been a little warmer and it was not entirely clear how to operate the thermostat. And it would have been nice if there was a water kettle in the room. But that's just nitpicking because the experience was great, overall.

It's new and clean. Room was very spacious, and so was the bathroom. Self check-in was fun. There was no staff on site but staff of nearby restaurant (same owners) was very friendly. The bed was firm and had two separate blankets. Location is a bit remote but if you want to cycle or hike in the area or want to visit nearby places in NL and DE that's a pro. Also means it's nice and quiet and very dark at night 😀

Beautiful surroundings, cozy hotel, recently renovated rooms, very comfortable mattrasses from Auping (it rare even in expensive hotels), free big parking, easy self check-in. We stayed only one night but definitely go back if we are in the area nearby

They could provide a hairdryer in the rooms, I had brought my own, but had to share it with others in the group. It would also be useful to set up a light on the short walk from the restaurant over to the sleeping accommodation place, it was a bit dark and muddy to get over after the evening meal.

The location is lovely, in the countryside and peaceful and probably even better in the summer. They have a wonderful, very unusual playground, which is worth factoring in if you come with children. The beds are large and comfortable, the rooms are spacey.

Only minor things. Room didn't cool down enough (because it is so well isolated) so in the night it was very warm. Nespresso cups didn't work in the machine (different brand, didn't pierce through properly). Window needs to be open for ventilation of the shower.

It was brand new, very clean, well isolated and next to a forest. Also there was no reception (yeah an electronic one), so self service, meaning arrive whenever you want. Parking in front of the house. A nice view from the Window.

Not for disliking the place, but more for knowing. Somethings are in the process of being finished. The restaurant closes early in the evening and one should be prepared for that. My navigation needed a little bit of help to get there, as things are going back and forward across the border.

The place is totally new, and they are starting it up. Everything is very clean. Peace and quite in very nice natural and historical area. Country life-style. Big room in a very comfortable lay-out.

Breakfast was good but only served after 9.00. Check in is by yourself at a terminal in the entrance, as is check out. So you rely on digital capability and success. The Assistant did show up and solved the problem when check-in did not work.

Location in beautiful nature, very quiet. Good room and facilities. Great restaurant at only 50 meters.

No soap and shower gel were empty. Shower was open and everything got wet.

New Hotel, some final work still needs to be done, but this is no problem. Check-in and check out with the app is no problem. But you have to hold the phone 1-2 seconds close to the sensor and wait 1-2 seconds, I was too impatient and therefore it wasn't working during the first attempts.

Very unpersonal location. You'll need to self check-in. There isn't a desk or staff available to welcome you. Before our arrival I tried to contact them 4 times (via email and phone) before they answered. When we arrived the room was cold and they provided us wrong instructions about the heating. The main room heating controler is hidden behind the tv, not on the bathroom wall.

First of all, I want to address the issue of being given the wrong address for the hotel. We are travelling by bicycle and had to go 15 km out of our way! We knocked on the door of the house at the address we were given by booking.com and the people there said that this had happened before…ie, that guests from the Gitstapper Hof had been given their address by booking.com. There was no answer when I tried to telephone the hotel to get directions. When we finally arrived there was no one to discuss the issue. The outdoor furniture was unusable as it was covered with bird poop and there was no cleaning equipment in the room to clean it myself or no staff to call to clean it for me. Very infortunate on such a lovely evening as I would have liked to sit outside with my coffee. There were no cushions for the outdoor furniture. There was only enough coffee for 2cups and no one to ask for more. There was no refrigerator in the room. The whole experience was rather sterile and unfriendly. The lack of staff to provide customer service was a huge issue. I would never recommend this hotel or stay there again.
