Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandI was sure that the studio had a kitchenette - which would have been useful to warm up the baby meals and get a coffee in the morning. But, nothing too grave - maybe a miscommunication on the app?!
Cool hotel in a quiet neighborhood, super accessible by tram, perfect with a baby. The staff was helpful, super available and lovely. We booked one of the studios: it was great, comfortable, and really big! Super terrace, big and functional bathroom, comfy beds.

United KingdomIt's a great hotel, apartment is perfect for family of 4. Staff are helpful, 24 hour reception and the free tram/bus travel is a major plus for staying in the area. The tram is necessary to get from the hotel to the city centre, but it's a pleasure as the tram system is clean, safe, not over crowded, frequent, run late into the night and generally a good experience. It is our second time at this hotel when visiting Europa Park/Rulantica. It is a long journey when compared to hotels in Rust and surrounding areas, but for us it was definitely worth getting to experience Freiburg. It takes just over an hour to get to Europa; 15m tram to Freiburg Train station, 30m train to Ringsheim and a 10m shuttle bus to Europa. This journey is possible up midnight in both directions. Alternatively there is a bus that runs from Freiburg direct to Europa that would save you around 15-20 minutes but it only runs once or twice in each direction.

United KingdomFor a hotel advertising itself as being sustainable, I felt this "sustainability" was sometimes undermined by, for example, the room being cleaned daily and my towels (even those hung up) were replaced daily.
The room was really great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The transport connections to the train station and city centre were excellent. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I didn't book it.

BelgiumThe bathroom could be cleaner, and it was hard to make the room dark enough with the narrow curtains.

SpainThe room for the 3 of us was a little tight with the baggage and everything . Was ok for 3 nights but for more night I would suggest to get larger rooms if available.
Very comfy Hotel located right across a tram station that Leds you to the city center . It is great to have the complimentary pass for the area . We used the train to go to lake titisse as well.

United StatesThe hotel has some sort of climate control system which cannot be adjusted. The room was a bit warm which made sleeping less comfortable.
Very good location, supermarket across the street, eco friendly. The tram passes were nice to have as we rode them often. Staff was very nice and we were able to get into our room early which was great.

United KingdomLike many hotels in Europe, it’s less common to have a kettle in the room and this is the same. However staff were happy to fill up our flasks with hot water when asked. I really like a cup of herbal tea before bed and don’t want to sit downstairs in my pyjamas to drink it!
The hotel building is beautiful- modern with lots of plants and greenery growing down the outside. Our room was very spacious and quiet with a good view. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were happy to bring us extra pillows when asked. We were given a free pass to use the tram and bus system which saved us money, and the hotel is a short tram ride from the centre of Freiburg. We would stay here again. The eco credentials of the hotel and the minimal design as part of that were superb.

SloveniaWardrobes in rooms are almost impossible to open as they have no holders. Breakfast is fine but 16 euros is expensive for such a simple breakfast. Right next to the hotel is good and cheap bakery.
I like the idea of sustainable hotel with the inclusiveness concept. Ideal location right next to tram stop. Located in Vauban - the best sustainable, car-free, quiet, green district in the world. Few minutes to the city centre of Freiburg and main train station by tram.

United KingdomFresh bottle of water in room each day - not just on arrival day. Leaving - would liked to have stayed longer.
Breakfast was good as reasonable variety of foods although cooked vegetables had rather dried out on the first morning by 9am but generally fine. Real coffee would have been nice to have. Good location and free travel pass is just fabulous given Freiburg’s international sustainability record and the extensive tram system,. Could you ever offer guests loan bikes? We did ask before arrival and with information on cycling in Black Forest we could have chosen that option ( an original plan for our 3 nights in Freiburg)

KuwaitThe elevator was not working the first day I arrived, but they gave us the meeting room to store our luggage temporarily and take whatever we need and then we took them the second day after they fixed the elevator. I didn’t like that they don’t have a fridge in the room or the suit. There is no kittle as well, but they are happy to provide you with hot water if you ask.
You can access the tram freely with jo charge when stying in this hotel, as they gave us cards for the entire duration. So moving to/from the city center isn’t an issue. You will be there in 10mins. You can park your car in a building nearby and cross the street. And of course you can unload your luggage in front of the door. Overall I recommend this place if you don’t want to be right in the city center.

BelgiumThe hotel is designed for functionality and ease. The equipment is not most sophisticated, but very reliable. The staff is extremely friendly en helpful. Good beds, good and healthy breakfast. The hotel is too far to walk to the old city center, but this is more than compensated by the fact that the tram stops right af the hotel entrance and brings you directly to the city center. The tram ticket is included in the room.
