For us all was good, no complaints. When opening window during the night it was a big noisy ... but ... the noise was a small stream passing the hotel ... that is what you surely need to accept when booking a hotel in nature :-)

Breakfast was ok, standard.

Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, restful location, a short jaunt to the thermal bath. Nice the room was heated for arrival. Dinner was excellent.

Breakfast was poor, Location was problematic, close to everything but very dangerous to drive when dark.

We stayed at the family suite on the third floor, very very nice room with wonderful view .. 2 bedrooms and 2 showers. Loved it!!

The rooms were in need of refurbishment - dated decor, lights, bathroom and beds. Breakfast was nice but not very exciting with little variation over the week and needed some nice fruit.

The games room was great in the evening and when it rained.

Very steep entrance and also lots of stairs leading to the reception. The elevator is only from the reception and to the rooms so you need to lift your luggage up the stairs. No A/C in the suite, so in August it could get really hot during the day and also at night.

The suite was very large and comfortable. The view was amazing. The bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen were well furnished and equipped. The kitchen also had an oven and dishwasher. Everything was super clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.

Beds could be replaced as they are very old and noisy sometimes. The room had an "old wood" smell. People with disabilities may face problems to reach the entrance of the hotel as it has a steep drive way and several stairs (in the hotel, however, there is an elevator).

Staff was very friendly. Even though the rooms have old furniture, rooms were very clean. The breakfast has everything you need. I was surprised about the rather "bad" review on booking.com as I think that despite that old furniture, the hotel itself offers everything you need. Also, the terrace has a good vibe for dinner or to have a few drinks with a view.

Charming family-run hotel in a beautiful, peaceful Black Forest town. The managers & staff are exceedingly warm & friendly. Breakfast and dinner quite good. Rooms comfortable and clean. You can hike up to the Herzoghorn, one of the best views in Germany, from the front door. Definitely recommended!

From the pictures of the hotel you don’t realise how high it is set back from the road. Great view but could be an issue if you struggle to walk. Small area for parking next to hotel but an additional area is available across the road.

Location was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a delicious meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast in the morning.

Everything. It was just perfect in every aspect. Clean, neat, great receptionist. Comfy rooms, good kitchen.

No evening meal on the Wednesday evening as it was the hotel's chosen rest day.

The location and accommodation were perfect. The breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. The chap that served us in the evening was happy to chat about what we had been up to in the day. Very accommodating. One of our group was vegetarian and staff facilitated a change in menu for him.
