Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNothing to mention here.
The property is super nice, the rooms are cozy, the staff is very friendly and customer focused. The quality of food in Restaurant and Breakfast is also great. The hotel is part of complex with its own distillery with great products (and very competitive pricing I have to say). Last, they even give you the key to the Castle ruins for a nice 10–15-minute hike and great pictures.

FinlandPreviously, there was also another, more informal restaurant in the building near the distillery. Too bad it was closed. The main restaurant had not quite been able to maintain its previous high standard, as it was now the only restaurant in the place.
We have been to this hotel many times before, it's great that the standard has been maintained and the place is taken care of. The service attitude of the staff is particularly good. I recommend a room with a terrace facing the riding arena, it's fun to watch the show jumpers practice. The breakfast at the place has always been really good, and so is now. The local distillery's shop is a recommended destination

NetherlandsThe restaurant of the hotel. They ask Michelin star prices, despite the technical skills of the cook (which were good) the meals were completely cooked without fantasy and tasted bland. The worst price quality I have experienced in a while. Be warned.
Fantastic location close to a beautiful ruin from the 11th century, great for walking. The hotel itself is full of details, we saw flowering cherryblossom trees, a nice warm fireplace where everyone can sit and when it is summer there is plenty of outside space. The room itself is on the small side.

GermanyOverall stay was lovely - just one or two bits of feedback. Pillows in room were extremely soft, which might not suit everyone. Also, even though we were a couple and booked a double room, the bed was single beds together rather than a double mattress. Having to hold down on-button hairdryer while using was a little annoying. Restaurant is lovely, but prepare to spend a lot. Drinks were served in the lobby, but we would have liked more speciality cocktails on the menu.
The hotel, grounds and interior are old-style and grand. The bird song that could be heard from the surrounds was just lovely. The sauna, whirlpool baths and relaxation areas are very serene and an easy way to spend a few hours. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were so pleasant and extremely accommodating to every request. Breakfast, dinner, wine and room service late night snacks were tasty, fresh and well-presented. Molton Brown toiletries, slippers and robes were a lovely touch!

DenmarkThe hair dryer requires a strong thumb - why do they not have a normal hair dryer, that is turned on and off without having to push the on button, while drying your hair - to save money? The rooms are not cheap, so a normal hair dryer must be affordable. Also, this time we had a sliding door to the bathroom and it did not close tight. Been married for many years, but still prefer privacy, when using the bathroom.
The restaurant is great and the rooms are very pretty and comfortable. The beds are great.

DenmarkWe would have liked a little bit more ambiance/cosyness when we had our pre-dinner drink at the fireplace. After all we drank expensive champagne but were not offered any snacks at all! For dinner we prefered a different table which was bigger and better for the two of us but could not have same. Afterwards this larger table was occupied by one person only! Staff were also a little slow with bringing the ordered glasses of wine for the dinner.
Very good

DenmarkIt was a great nuisance that one has to press a button on the hair dryer in order for it tto work. Especially as there was not much power in the hairdryer.. After a while my finger was tired and I had to go to dinner with half wet hair. Is it to save electricity, making the guests become too annoyed to fully dry their hair? Then please charge a little more and place a good hair dryer in the room. I hope I will not need to wash and dry my hair next time, we stay in this hotel, because I don't want to have to bring a decent hair dryer along, when travelling and staying in 5-star hotels.
Lovely and comfortable room with great beds (we had a junior suite) and the whole hotel has a great ambience. Nice touch that there was a bed and dog bowls for our dog. This is not the first time we stay in this hotel and we have already booked our next stay, which we look forward to..
