Breakfast was not as good as lunch and dinner lots of bread and missing sausages/bacon and coffee comes in small pots so you have to find someone to refill it. Also, this hotel was the only one on Booking.com Germany that ask for names, address, phone number, date of birth and passport number before arriving at the hotel using Booking.com messages or email. We did not have time to call them with the information and it seemed your hotel booking was not valid until they had this information? But, it did make hotel check in very easy. They also wanted dinner reservations but this is hard to do when you don't know when you will be back at the end of the day. It was not a problem during our stay but maybe in the high season. Again the staff was very welcoming and will do their best to accommodate you.

The location was close to Neuschwanstein castle a 10 minute drive. Clean, good size room ours came with a view of the castle which is illuminated at night. Walls were a little thin you can hear other people talking. Room comes with free parking (no problems for us to find parking) and breakfast. The hotel gave out free (KönigsCard, Schwangau Card passes. The lunch and dinner staff were great and so was the food. Some staff only speak German but a few spoke English or used translate app. It is not a problem. They have breakfast, lunch, teatime (with great cakes and tea/beer/other drinks) and dinner. You will not be hungry. Surrounding area is safe, calm and great for an after meal walk. The hotel made a great base to explore the area knowing easy parking and a great meal awaits coming back. Check for the schedule for dining. When we were there Sat/Weds the restaurant was closed. The town is small which made it easy to find gas, banks and groceries. We definitely loved this area over Füssen.

We absolutely loved our stay at Helmerhof! My husband and I were searching for the perfect spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and Helmerhof was a delightful discovery that went beyond our expectations. Our apartment offered stunning views of the mountains and garden. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, enhancing our experience even further. We also highly recommend the hotel's restaurant, where the food was nothing short of delicious. On our first night, we were touched by the staff's thoughtful gesture of reserving a beautifully decorated table for our anniversary dinner. If you're planning a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle and the surrounding area, look no further than Helmerhof.

Just minor things: would be good to have a teapot in the room. Sauna was a little bit small, could have been extended. About 9 people came there

Overall, everything was great: breakfast, dinner, the room and the sauna. Also the hotel kindly agreed to cancel the second room which we mistakenely booked, free of charge

Sadly, the elevator was our of order and our room was on the fourth floor.

We booked a room with a view. Oh what a view! Neuschwanstein Castle with snow falling on it. The hotel was going to be closed for their Christmas Party the night we arrived. They had been communicating with me via Booking.com Messenger. I was a bit concerned it but it worked out just fine. Our welcome letter was in German (but Google translate helped with that). The room was great and the breakfast was wonderful.

Perfect location, the room was super comfortable (best so far in our trip to Germany!) And the views are breathtaking. There is free parking in front of the hotel and the breakfast is really good with plenty of options. Wish we stayed more!

It was a bit confusing to understand how to be dressed for sauna. Some slippers and robe would have been great to have in room.

I parked outside during the heavy snow. So the next day, it was quite a work with clearing off the snow. The hotel provides equipment to do it, but i wish there were a garage. LOL

We liked all about this property starting from location and ending by facilities. Appartment was spacy, very clean, modern and comfortable. We liked the breakfast and also the possibility to rent the bikes. Rural and quiet surroundings were amazing. Wish we could stay a little bit more.

The bathroom was huge. The shower was a small cubicle which got lost in the room. Could of been 3 times bigger. Ok for overnight though.

Lovely hotel. Fantastic staff. Really nice hotel. Large comfortable room with great views to the castle. Excellent breakfast choice, We ate in the restaurant and it was the best meal of our trip. Superb at a reasonable price. Excellent overnight stay.
