In this hotel You feel like 30 years back in time. It did’n bother us. In fact we felt is charming too. Watch out, this hotel is not located in Rudesheim am Rhein, but in a neighboring town which was also nice

Cleanliness, family hotel, it is an authentic german place and good condition of interieur. Great German Breakfast was served by the owner.

Only problem we had wS our room was on the 3rd floor, and without a lift made it difficult for a person with mobility problems.

Our en-suite room was very nice. Breakfast was more than ample with good alternatives

The floor boards in the bedroom were extremely creaky and I was concerned about disturbing other guests when moving around. Trains pass by very close to rear of hotel all through the night which makes sleeping difficult. Small hotel and closed very early at night so could not get a drink or coffee/tea after 9pm

The location is fantastic, right by river Rhine. Lovely outdoor terrace. Fabulous views of local castles and vineyards. Breakfast was good, though I would have liked more fruit and less meat.

We should of rang hotel directly , totally over booking .com. our complaint online was completely ignored. Free cancellation?????.

Stephan did a great breakfast, considering all our other Booking. Com hotels were very expensive with no breakfast. We booked a hotel in Frankfurt but couldn't make it due to rail problem. Had free cancellation, but were fobbed off by booking.com and received nothing.

The restaurant closes at 5pm so far too early, but there are restaurants within walking distance. There isn't any air conditioning and it was very hot during our visit, so be prepared for this during the summer.

We had to leave early the next morning and couldn't wait for breakfast which was included in the stay. We asked the receptionist/owner if we could pay the accommodation without breakfast included and he refused to compensate.

Very good breakfast served at the table. The view over Rhen river from the room and restaurant is excellent. Varm and welcoming reception at the hotel. Ni trouble to change check-in time. Assmanhausen is quiet and nice. It´s near to Rüdesheim. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Good value.

I had my flight late in the evening,( around 22 o’clock) I start to drive and navigation brought me from Frankfurt to Bingen, where I was supposed to take a ferry to go to another side of the Rhein river. I didn’t aspected that it is no bridge in there! The last ferry it’s around 9.30 in the evening. To find a bridge I was forced to come back on my road and go to Mainz, so I lost another hour for do that. Before to come to this hotel I called the owner and told him that I will arrive late, and it will be a very late check in and if it wasn’t acceptable for him I would delete my booking and book with someone else. But he reassured me that it is no problem about it! when I didn’t find a ferry I call him and told him my situation, that I need an extra hour to arrive…he told me that he is not sure if I would find him there. In 1 hour I was under hotel but he wasn’t there and he didn’t replied me to my call. I slept in the car and I saw him at 7.30 in the morning coming to open hotel for doing breakfast for his customers. Like nothing happened ! I couldn’t delete my booking at that point, because I would be charged money anyway… So I decided to stay. In the checkout he come to my room exactly at 11 o’clock to tell me it was a time to leave…and I was charged for all nights, even for the night I spent in car! I think he did it because I check in at 7.30 in the morning. I am so sad that some people didn’t put a human factor before any rule! If someone have a hospitality business he should first respect all humans, regardless from where they are coming and regardless of what is the main rule says. I think he has no daughter to be ok to leave a woman alone in the car to sleep over the night.

Showering in a bathtub with a shower curtain. The bathroom should really be renovated.

The location is great! Offers direct view on the Rhine Valley. The hotel (particularly the bathroom) is a little outdated but clean.

No elevator!

This is a small, family-run inn located right on the Rudesheim-Lorch riverfront road. Our room had a beautiful view of the Rhine. And because the road to Lorch was closed for repairs, it was completely quiet at night. Wonderful! The room itself was basic….about what one would expect from a roadside inn. (The bathroom was small but recently renovated with new fixtures.). Clearly the family that runs this place takes pride in their work. Oh, and the breakfast food was excellent…..the manager told me they use local produce, and it was great.

The hotel was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Check in was a bit early, as a tourist you probably wouldn't make 6pm.

It was right on the river Rhine, nice view for breakfast to watch the boats going up and down the river. There was a lovely pub just down the road. The proprietor called and said where we would find the key.
