The desk says it’s okay to order a-la-carte and pay for breakfast if you haven’t taken the breakfast plan nor want the buffet, but the waiter gets annoyed. Perhaps because there aren’t any a-la-cart items listed on the menu.

Small and near the city center made it easy to explore the area on foot. Access to public transportation is very close. I was traveling alone and felt very safe at the hotel and in the surrounding neighborhood. The staff is very nice and the property is clean.

what a lovely hotel!! all the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was generally warm and inviting. my room was perfect for what i needed as well, and the location was so convenient, only five mins from marienplatz! any requests i had the staff were more than happy to oblige and the restaurant/rooftop bar were both really nice venues. room was lovely and warm to come back to in winter. this hotel was so great! def recommend especially for solo travellers - I felt so safe and welcomed here

The hotel staff forgot to refill the mini-bar in the evening, which they usually do.

This is the most authentic and friendly hotel I've stayed at. The team makes you feel at home; they go above and beyond to make your stay in Munich as good as possible, and as a bonus, the neighborhood is filled with beautiful restaurants, cocktail bars, etc.

location was great - 8-minute walk from Marienplatz. all beverages in the fridge are complimentary. room was very clean and everything was sanitised (cups, additional blanket). there are amenities available on request at reception (shaving kit, tooth brush).

This hotel is EXCELLENT value — low price and excellent location (15 min walk to Marienplatz). Great in-house restaurant — ending up eating there a lot despite the presence of many other great restaurants. The staff is great too — always willing to be helpful. The rooms are smaller but clean and everything you need — except coffee service — is in the room. Good sound-proof windows contributed to a very quiet environment.

My only slight disappointment was that is no tea or coffee making facility in the room. This is however not a major issue with such an excellent bar and restaurant attached to the hotel.

Very pleasant and impeccably clean. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. It was also very quiet, despite being so well located close to all local amenities.

Nothing wrong with the hotel stay! The only thing we’d expand on would be the breakfast variety. It seemed a bit limited.

Literally down the road from Marien Platz, and in the thick of it. Easily reached by the number 16 tram from the main train station. Greeted warmly by reception and once the formalities were done advised there were two free Prosecco at the bar or the roof top terrace. Also, the drinks in the mini bar were free and restocked every day (4 beers, 2 Coke Zero and 2 water). Great to have a cold drink available in your room once you’ve finished travelling. The room was very tidy. Huge bathroom with extra large shower and large queen bed. The windows had electric shutters so it was very quiet and dark. Breakfast was typical German served in the restaurant but scrambled eggs and bacon were also available along with the usual. Overall, a fantastic experience and reasonable priced accommodation.

First room had a slight odor caused by recently refinished floors. Management had a choice between using odorless product that was not organic or one organic product that left a slight odor (that will dissipate). They did move us to different room which was perfect! So happy with management's response to make sure our stay was perfect.

Room was spacious and bed super comfortable. It was funky getting from lift to room via a short flight of stairs. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great and held at the hotel restaurant. Nice to have complimentary fridge with beer, soda and water available. Near all forms of transportation, restaurants and markets. Plenty of Christmas markets within walking distance.

Overall, the staff was rude and condescending. Even the waiter at the rooftop bar seemed put out by taking the welcome coupon for a glass of champagne. We would have ordered more but didn't like his attitude. The room was uncomfortably warm, so we had to leave the window open as there was no other way to make it cooler. The bathroom door is a swinging frosted glass. This provides a modicum of privacy for view, but not for sound. Check out is 11 am. We were literally out of the room, closing the door at precisely 11 when the phone rang. We went back inside to answer it. It was the front desk telling us we had to leave. A bit dramatic to say the least. Checking out, a different front desk man was again, unfriendly and curt. Some may say this is cultural. Germans are not that emotive, and what do you expect in a big city. In over two weeks of travel, multiple visits to Germany and having lived in large cities: NYC, Miami and San Francisco, this was rude. Even the housecleaning staff were rude. Guten Morgen was met with a turn of the head to face the other way. Although the stay was for the most part acceptable, customer service was completely lacking. It sounds contradictory, but I can recommend this hotel, with the caveat, you want nothing from the staff. Sleep, relax, come and go. Nothing else.

The location is great. The rooftop bar is nice. The breakfast was good. The woman who works at the restaurant was the only high point of the staff. She was very nice and extremely efficient. The young man who checked us in was nice but couldn't answer some basic questions, such as how to turn down the heat in the room.

The only negative was that I couldn't figure out how to turn the heat down and the curtains weren't thick enough to keep the light out. Also the sauna is men's only 😪

The location was perfect just a few minutes from Marianplatz (sorry Ik I misspelled that badly). The staff were friendly, and very helpful. I left some important papers in my room when I checked out and house keeping saw and saved them. Also the breakfast buffet was amazing along with the welcome drink and free mini bar I really couldn't have asked for much more. Best hotel I've been to in Europe but I also sprung for a nicer one this time lol
