The mattress was a bit too firm - as a side sleeper I had some minor sores on my side after each morning. The space inside the mini-fridge was workable, but pretty small. The WiFi is very slow, don't expect to do much more than basic web-browsing on it. There was no kettle/coffee available in the room.

The amount of space in the room was good. The bathroom had a nice shower and lots of amenities like a beauty mirror, tissues, a shower cap, q-tips, cotton pads, etc. There's a mini-fridge in the room. The location right next to Berliner Tor station was very convenient.

It's a reliable and pretty basic hotel in Hamburg. One stop away from the central station, with direct trains to/from the airport and city centre. Breakfast was an "experience", i.e. if you order a deli slice for your bread, they will literally only give you one small deli slice unless you specifically ask for more, but otherwise it was okay. Room got cleaned everyday, location is very convenient, the bar staff was friendly :)

It wasn’t necessarily the cleanest, and some things didn’t work the best like the TV and the remote, but nothing crazy.

The location was nice, it was cozy, it had all the amenities with a coffee machine and plenty of space to sit. A mini fridge was also in the room which was practical to have.

No complaints just one small note that the hairdryer in the room didn't work and either did the iron in the room. Maybe a small bit of advice to upgrade the shower screens as they didnt really stop water going everywhere. Other than this we loved our stay here.

The hotel deserves a much better rating than it has as it is a lovely hotel situated perfectly on one of the main train stops for S Bahn and UBahn, we had no issues getting anywhere in Hamburg while we were here. We booked an economy room which are the smallest room, but it was perfect for us as we were there to explore the city and just needed a bed and bathroom to shower. The bar in the evenings was also a great place to come home to after a day of exploring to chill out.

I am talking about the room 614 in this 4 star hotel: - The mattress is very old and weak. Sleeping is hardly possible in the hole that formed when boarding. Even more difficult with two people, as the mattress becomes a trampoline. - The bathroom extremely small, maybe 2.5 m². The shower was so small and with a low ceiling that I (180cm and 76kg) could hardly use it. - To stay in a small room like this Room 614 you have to open the window overnight as there is no air conditioning available. The noise of the busy road is disturbing. However, a fan was provided. But at night it is not useful. - Important functions of the TV were blocked, e.g. B. not possible to adjust the brightness.

The staff was very friendly and ready to assist. 10 points. The location is very close to an U-Bahn and S-Bahn station. Very convenient to explore the city. 10 Points

There is a tent set up just outside our window with someone living there. The sheets ( the duvet cover looked new but was a textured material) were very rough like burlap-not kidding. There was no way to get food on site unless you pre-booked. There was rarely any staff around to ask questions or feel secure.

1) this is an “old school 4-stars” hotel, bit worn out 2) too small room for a couple, tiny bathroom, no space for winter clothes, weak lighting - can’t even read a book in the evening! 3) over-priced for above mentioned reasons

1) good location, if you arrive directly from airport by rail and want to avoid huge-overcrowded main central (ca 500 m from S-bahn stop Berliner Tor) 2) good breakfast with lot of space in the restaurant

The hotel room was warm, but opening a window helped. Maybe in the summer it will be too hot, since the room doesn’t have an air-conditioning.

The hotel as a parking garage and is very close to station Berliner Tor ( maybe 3 minute walk). Room 606 is big enough, very clean, and quiet. The extra facilities in the rooms are good (tea, coffee, slippers, shoe polish set, etc). The breakfast is very good.

Bathroom very small, floor would be covered in water after a shower. Shower sliding doors made it awkward getting in and out. Rough toilet paper, I've used better in public toilets. Shelf unlevel that our toothbrushes fell off. Mattress too soft and sank in the middle. No drinking facilities in the room. A single bottle of water was available in the fridge, at a cost of €4.50! Poor lighting in the room making it quite dark. Not sure how this hotel was given a 4 star rating.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was reasonably good but the dining room wasn't particularly warm. Room was clean but outdated. Great location.
