How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This hotel is perfect for cost-conscious tourism and business trips. If you feel you need a mini-bar, a 40" TV, orthopedic mattress and choice of 4 pillows, then look elsewhere. Also, the space in my room was limited and for instance there was not a table where I could have worked with a laptop. I did not need it, so it was OK for me.
This is a no-frills, but very cozy and clean hotel in a strategic position in the center of Munich. The room is basic, but there is everything you need for a stay. The decor and the (old) furniture of the common spaces and the rooms is "cute" and gives a feeling of coziness. Every member of the staff with whom I talked was really friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, only 5-10 minutes to Marienplatz by S-bahn (500mt).

The bed was not what I expected the last time I had a 1-person room. Not comfy enough and also small for a 'long' Dutch guy. Could have been better.
Nice hotel, I stayed there more than once. Breakfast is perfect, I love the staff serving the breakfast. Location perfect, near Donnerbergebrucke. It's a typical 'family' hotel. I love that.

Being pedantic . The room maybe a bit tight for some. However quickly adapted. I now realise hotel rooms in Germany bit tighter than what used to anyway. Exceptional clean. Bed very comfortable.
Location wasn't bad as tram stop easy walk and the trams were heading to where we wanted to go. Honestly i would stay here for the breakfast alone. Staff were the best.

A single room is quite a small space and not very comfortable with their custom painted furniture. Top value for the money though.
If you attend an event at the Backstage, then it's just a 15 min. casual walk. The same distance to the ZOB bus station and additional 10 mins. to the train HB. Also, the staff were really helpful.

Some of the facilities are a little dated.
The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and the scrambled eggs were very good. The interior is charming.

Location was good, very close to the trams and train station and there was a supermarket nearby for snacks. Room was very traditionally decorated and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English.

Street is rather noisy.
Really nice and relaxed atmosphere. This hotel and the people who work there have ‘Gastfreundschaft’ in there DNA.

Our room overlooked a very busy road. Very good window insulation so no traffic noise but you couldn’t open the windows at night. Very expensive (it was the Wiesn!) but no water in room etc - fir that price these amenities/touches are necessary, notwithstanding!)
Lovely breakfast. Super nice and friendly staff.

I really enjoyed the stay, not sure if there is anything I could complain about.
Hahn Hotel was a boutique hotel. It felt really homey and cozy. The best part of the hotel was the people. The hoteliers there were the nicest people. At the bar, I had a few great conversations with the hoteliers and guests there. I'd come back to the hotel just for that. The breakfast was also amazing. They made fresh eggs for the guests upon order. The location was also convenient. It was a short train ride from the main station.

We stayed for Oktoberfest, so the location was great, only a short walk to the entrance. I recommend hiring bikes and riding it's the best way to get around town. The train station is also very close for transfer to the airport. The price during high rates for Oktoberfest, it is good value.

We had to have the windows open during the night due to the hot weather and the street was quite noisy the whole night (because of the traffic). There are only a few parking spots available and we never managed to get a spot, but we got the parking fee refunded.
The room was cosy and clean.
