The wifi was in and out so it was difficult to access my emails but my 11 year old granddaughter still managed to text and message all of her friends for hours every day. Some homeless people based themselves outside the hotel and asked for money every time we went in or out but that is not the fault of the hotel staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome. The room was quiet even though the area around the hotel is very busy. It is very useful for public transport which we used a lot. Breakfast was very good too.

I stayed in Hamburg only for one night with arrival past 8pm and check out at 8am the next morning. The price was very fair, check-in was smooth and room was clean. Room is functional and WIFI was included. I did not have breakfast. Very conveniently located due to the proximity to Hamburg central train station and city.

Breakfast was a joke. You were given a timeframe for eating breakfast because of Covid-19. We were dealt the late timeframe which meant no bacon, no cheese and empty juice bottles. Breakfast is rather expensive so the empty buffet is an absolute no go!

The location is perfect if you plan to visit not only Hamburg but also the beautiful cities around, very close to the main train station (I did not feel it wasn't safe, although you had the specific population you find close to central stations). The room I had was big and very clean and had a very good isolation from the noises (including those from outside). I totally loved the breakfast, all the products had a very good quality and you had a lot of choices.

Everything was great

Fantastic hotel! The location was perfect, so convenient - a stone's throw away from Hamburg central station, which was brilliant. Restaurants, local markets, everything is accessible from here. We felt safe here, the decor was classy and the room was super clean.The staff were brilliant. We had to check in really late but a great staff member was at the front desk, waiting to let us in to the premises and welcome us. Great thanks to him, Amelia, Ellen who was great to us on night reception, the cleaning staff on our floor, Olga and Sabina. Special thanks to Mireilli in the restaurant for making us feel so welcome in the restaurant. Brilliant breakfast, brilliant service. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended

This hotel was a great find! Great location, very friendly staff and it is a perfectly preserved and well-maintained building. I really loved the decor especially the bar and dining areas.

Rooms are very tired, in our case especially the bathroom. Not very clean either, hair dryer was dusty, tiles at the wall visibly dirty. Paint splashes from painting the bathroom ceiling nearly everywhere, even on the tissues box. 5€ fluorescent lamp over the mirror, reminding me of a youth hostel only in this case the stay was 177€ for one night. Floor lamps flickering on the 5th florr where we stayed, spreading haunted underpass vibes.

Breakfast is ok, but lacks a bit in variety, given the Senator Hotel is rated with 4 stars. Room is very silent (5th floor in our case). Coffee machine in room. Located central not right besides the main train station in Hamburg, but a 5 minutes walk from there.

It is in proximity of the train station - which was ideal. However, if you want to go out, there are a lot of strange people on the street and you might feel a bit uncomfortable. German social status is in decline.

This is a perfect hotel - everything is done correctly. Its architecture and design remind of old times and it is meticulously kept. Of course, it's quite pricey for what it offers, but in short, it's perfect. We loved their breakfast!
