We really wanted to relax after train travel. We really enjoyed the spa facilities at this resort. We would have really enjoyed an additional night, but due to our schedule we were not able to stay another night. We will definitely come back to enjoy this resort again.

Lighting in room - difficult to see in mirror, toilet and bathroom lights automatic and very sensitive, especially at night.

On the way to Neuschwanstein Castle following the Google Maps instructions, I was fined 55 € by a security guard. I don't know why. If there was no construction around the hotel, there would be no need to take the detour. The happy mood at the hotel turned into the complete opposite

Nice, modern hotel with a great sauna area! Elevator and parking garage (€12/night). Great breakfast with omelette bar and various hot & cold options. Comfortable beds & rooms. Mine had a balcony with a wonderful view of the Alps. Modern bath with walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel, in the old city of Fussen. We enjoyed the room design, cleanliness and attention to all the details, a real 4 stars hotel. The breakfast was fabulous, the food selection, the staff and ambiance amazed us. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing in & around Fussen. Staff was super helpful with insights on best times to see the castles, public transport to them & any info we wanted. Sebastian & Bill were especially helpful!. Our room & the breakfast were superb! We loved our stay & will recommend Hotel Sonne to any friends visiting the area!

Superb team and beautiful Wellness Suite Loved this hotel. Extremely helpful team across the whole stay. Compact but beautifully & quirkily decorated room and also in all areas of the hotel. The whole establishment is a delightful homage to King Ludwig and his favourite Composer Richard Wagner with so many photos, art pieces and memorabilia dotted around. Everything feels like it’s all been thoughtfully done for the interest and delight of the guests. The highlight of our stay was the wellness suite. After a chilly visit to the beautiful castle nearby, to be able to arrive back at the hotel and change into our soft & snuggly bathrobes and pop to the wellness suite was divine. I enjoyed the steam room and both saunas before relaxing on a lounger listening to serene birdsong and zen like music! I actually dozed off which is a rarity for me. We spent a couple of hours in there, feeling totally relaxed and enjoying the free refreshments. The hotel’s Riwa restaurant is frequented by many Locals and has a busy, buzzy, friendly atmosphere. The food was typical and delicious, made and cooked fresh to order. My white Asparagus soup, a favourite of mine, was the best home made I have ever tasted. We were lucky it’s in season right now. The breakfast selection in the Riwa was superb and laid out beautifully. The only issue we had during our stay was simply that I could not turn the heat up on my room but once I asked the reception staff it was immediately corrected and switched onto ‘heat’ mode rather than cool. The area had just recently experienced high temps and sunshine which very quickly had switched to cold and snow (which was magical and made the area even prettier!). I would definitely recommend this hotel, and have no hesitation on re booking again. Thank you to the lovely Hotel Sonne Team

The wellness room is a beautiful space however it would have been perfect if you had a small pool or dipping are with water. The parking was a bit awkward with rhe road works and it would be nice for parking to be free

The carpet in the bedroom looked a strange. Maybe it was the pattern. Or old stains couldn't be removed.
