How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hotel parking was hard to access due to construction blockades blocking streets beside the hotel. The front desk staff were very good about explaining how to access the parking.
Front desk staff were great, super friendly and helpful. The hotel location was excellent. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and charming. Bathrooms were large and luxurious. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, would 100% recommend! The burger was amazing! Hotel restaurant had a super cool chill Caribbean vibe. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was definitely a treat! Great quality and variety! Don't miss the pool table down the hall from the restaurant.

I already visited this hotel 13 years ago with my husband and we were amused. Now we came with two kids, and it was not a very comfortable option. The room is quite small for four. The bathroom doesn't have a door, only an almost transparent curtain instead, and the shower is opposite the window to the room (!) which is also enough transparent and you can see the person taking a shower from the room. Also you can the light if you are trying to sleep. So, it might be ok for couples, not for families with kids. Not the fault of the hotel but right outside there are road works and you must go around the whole town by car to get there, and it makes the distance to the castles almost 20 minutes longer.
The breakfast is perfect and the fact that it's untill 10:30 also. Very good restaurant for dinner. Beautiful spa area. The location is central and about 10 minutes to the castles by car.

Great service and a modern hotel with all amenities you would want! Just stayed for 1 night because we were traveling to Italy from the Netherlands. But we will definitely remember this hotel and come back on future trips to Italy. And stay a little longer.

We really wanted to relax after train travel. We really enjoyed the spa facilities at this resort. We would have really enjoyed an additional night, but due to our schedule we were not able to stay another night. We will definitely come back to enjoy this resort again.

Lighting in room - difficult to see in mirror, toilet and bathroom lights automatic and very sensitive, especially at night.
Large room with balcony. Very helpful reception staff. Ideal location. Excellent sauna. Good restaurant. Very stylish.

On the way to Neuschwanstein Castle following the Google Maps instructions, I was fined 55 € by a security guard. I don't know why. If there was no construction around the hotel, there would be no need to take the detour. The happy mood at the hotel turned into the complete opposite
Great breakfast. Good room condition. Friendly response from employees. Attentive consideration was given in advance, providing explanations and detailed guidance on situations where entry and exit were difficult due to construction around the hotel. It was a happy choice

Would have been nice to have coffee/tea/hot water kettle in the room.
Nice, modern hotel with a great sauna area! Elevator and parking garage (€12/night). Great breakfast with omelette bar and various hot & cold options. Comfortable beds & rooms. Mine had a balcony with a wonderful view of the Alps. Modern bath with walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel, in the old city of Fussen. We enjoyed the room design, cleanliness and attention to all the details, a real 4 stars hotel. The breakfast was fabulous, the food selection, the staff and ambiance amazed us. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We wished we had a chair or two in our three person room. Otherwise the accommodations met our needs very well.
