Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe room was a bit dark. The lights (LED bars) were placed behind the curtains. For one evening it was not a big issue but it is not very convenient. There were also small lamps by the beds but they were quite dim.
We stayed in Hotel Hüttl for a night. We had to reschedule our stay due to a train strike and the hotel was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel was nice and clean. There's a tea and coffee station close to the reception for everyone to use. The breakfast was very good with a large variety of choices. If we come back to Worms, I would pick this hotel again for the breakfast.

No. 3 requires the following: power point at the desk, shelf above hand basin, hooks in the bath room. Court yard storage for bicycle is good. Free coffee. Simple breakfast.

South AfricaThe lighting in the room is pathetic. Only a small bedlamp and no roof or ceiling light, so I could not read my map so as to do the planning for the following day's cycling. Also, the shower is way too small for an adult male to be able to shower properly.

PortugalWe were very warmly welcomed and offered a choice of rooms, each with different advantages. We picked one looking out towards the cathedral. We were warned it might be a little noisy in the morning and, indeed, the church bells were quite loud, but that happens and was no problem. It was a clean and straightforward room, ideal for a couple of nights in this unassuming, easy-going little city.

GermanyNot so much for myself, but for other visitors there wasn't an elevator (or an obvious elevator). I had no problem going up the steps, but may be an issue for less able-bodied guests.
Close to all of the sights- Great accommodation- Really friendly staff- Spoke perfect English- This place was far beyond what I thought it was going to be. The place was adorable, well-kept, with a wonderful German breakfast in the morning. Being really close to the major sights was also a plus.
