Previously, there was an option for automatic check-in if you arrived when nobody was at the reception. However, the automated system no longer works, and check-in is not possible from 11:00 until 17:00. During this time, all you can do is wait in the hall with your bags. It was a miracle that I found the receptionist and was able to check in at 14:00 - I was really lucky for that.

I stay here for the 3rd time every time I have an early flight from the airport. The hotel is okay for a one-night stay before a flight: nothing special, but it has clean rooms and is located 1 km away from the airport, which is enough for me. Breakfast is typical, with two types of muesli, yogurt, a variety of bakery items, meat and cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes, apples and bananas, juice, coffee, and tea.

I didn't like that in the room there was no drinking water or teapot. At night I wanted to have a kofee and leave, but could'nt as they were closed.

I just stayed there for several hours at night. I liked clearness.

It was our mistake to stay in one room with 2 kids (6 and 8 ), so we had lack of room )

We were traveling to Bavaria which is south, so we rented a car at the airport. Due to the late arrival to Dortmund, it was a good chance to take a rest overnight and continue the trip in the morning. The airport is 15 minutes walking distance.

The check in was closed till 5 pm and I arrived at 2 pm and no one was there. I wait 3 hours for the check in

- Pillows. The most uncomfortable, flat, hard, small and old pillows I ever saw - One of the mattresses in our room was probably old, cuz if you lay down, there's a 'walley' inside, making sleeping extremely uncomfortable - The room is small but it's ok for a short stay anyways

- Friendly staff - Clean room and bed sheets - Close by there is Lidl supermarket - Close to the airport (15-20min by foot) - There's a bus stop nearby that is probably good for going to Dortmund with one change

The self check in counter was broken. However, I got an access code via Booking messages, so it absolutely wasn’t a problem.

Very good location. Literally 10 minutes by foot from airport, 5 min from Lidl or 7 from McDonalds.

The hotel does not have an elevator. Unfortunately, it was not possible to change at the last minute as the hotel was full, and I struggled to carry the bags.

Very close to the airport (1.2km). If you don't have a lot of things, you can also go on foot.

The price is expensive for a budget Ibis hotel. The checkin was a little bit stressful because we arrived at 21:45 (no one there). The desk is totally closed after 10PM, and the receptionist did not speak English at all if you call her. You have to checkin before close hour, it means send them a message to receive the door code by email or by Booking, because the self checkin machine does not work.

The location is great if you have an early morning flight or for people in transit, it's close to the airport (15 min by walk). The checkout was automatically done, I had to do nothing. The room was ok for one short night.
