How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Shower could benefit from a shower curtain, because now it sprayed water onto the floor in front of the door.
Room was clean and big enough for two persons. Bathroom was fancy.

Bathroom could be cleaner a bit. Nevertheless, it’s well-equipped and ok.
Staff was very kind and helpful! Bed is very comfortable and big (double). It’s near to city centre so I can recommend for visitors. Any means of public transport is available in a few minutes.

Location: The hotel is just a train and 3 stops away from the city center/the central station. Price: It was really cheap than the other hotels and is of good value. Cleanliness/utilities: There’s a shampoo/soap, towels, and hair blower. The place was clean and couldn’t have chosen any better place!

Not enough plug sockets in the room, floor was kind of dirty and the open-plan shower meant the bathroom floor would flood every time someone used the shower.
Hotel was basic but clean, and was a very affordable price - good value for money! The area was quiet and offered satisfactory public transportation connections, would highly recommend a stay at this property for anyone looking for a cheap but cheerful short trip to Munich!

Some of the rooms we've used were cold, even the heatining was on. The pillows could be changed with more comfortable ones.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was excellent. The location is good, close to U-ban and Tram station. There is underground garage.

Rooms are quite small, which should be expected considering the price.
A modern hotel, very good price when we stayed. Tram is very close but need to change for major attractions, U-bahn is a 5/10 minutes walk.

My room was facing the busy street so if the window was open it was rather noisy. There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom in the evening, but not throughout the day.
The room was ok, with everything one needs for a short stay (I stayed three nights). Location was ok too, as it is on the U-bahn line, but it is a bit away if one likes to walk. The size was what I expected, and the bed was quite comfortable.

The air conditioner wasn’t even working. It was very hot in the night and was hard to get proper sleep.
Location was good. Though located very close to the main roads, the sound insulation in the room was excellent.

In 4 days (out of total of 8) we change 3 rooms to finally get heat in our rooms.

We liked everything in this hotel.We requested quite room on higher floor and they give it to us.Location was good, near to metro.Staff was friendly.Bed was comfortable.Room was clean. If we will come back in Munich we will definitely stay in same hotel. Recommendation to add fridge and kettle to room. 😊❤️

We have stayed in a few Ibis hotels and glad to find them all value for money. They are all clean and well stocked. If you are looking for no frills and good stay, look for Ibis properties.

Big brother system for aircon control. I had to go to reception to tell them to turn the aircon power back on for the room. The aircon also turns off at midnight, so you need to wake up and turn it back on which was ridiculous. Room was small and no power beside bed so couldn’t charge and use your phone at same time. Staff seemed very disorganised. Not much around the hotel either - more of an urban area.
Not a lot really.l except parking in basement which was convenient. The only reason we stayed here was because of limited choose during octoberfest. Room was at least renovated and clean.

Very basic 2 star for the price they are charging. No room service, not even a dental kit. Also location not that great.
