Noise coming from trains passing by. Very loud. Reception dis not have any hygiene products (tampons etc.) on Good Friday when all pharmacies were closed. I think any decent hotel should have spare ones to share (or sell) if pharmacies are closed.

Very good location close to train station 30 min from city center. Very good buffet breakfast.

It’s all good. Steps away from public transport that takes you to anywhere in Hamburg. Is on the direct line to the airport. Surrounded by shops ans eateries. Nothing to not like.

The reception staff were super friendly and very polite. They had a good grasp of English which was very convenient. For the first time also a hotel took into consideration my room request at the time of booking, incredible, thank you!

Room was too hot. Hotel is next to train tracks and passing trains were LOUD if the window was open to keep the room cool. Schnitzel night at hotel restaurant was a disappointment. Waitstaff was great but they need to hire chefs that can cook better.

Check in staff and bar and restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and very helpful.

As directly next to train line it's very loud when the is window open but absolutely fine when closed. A small fridge in the room would be great.

Although the windows are highly soundproof you can still hear the noise from the adjacent railroad and metro tracks when your room is on the eastern side of the hotel. On the western side there is a busy road which could also cause some noise but we don't know if this is disturbing because our room was on the eastern side.

We liked the rooms and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel is next to Hamburg-Barmbek railway station (3 minutes walk) with connections via U3 metro and S1 metropolitan train to the city center (12 min to central station).

Day or night shift it doesn't matter, staff at reception is terribly rude, unhelpful and their noses are in the air. They don't even answer any question. The worst staff I have ever met so far. Besides this, it took more than one hour to check in for two rooms.

Breakfast area is large and comfortable. Rooms are comfortable.

Breakfast- no tags with what food is on the table, not good if you have allergies, intolerances or vegetarian. Wellness- you have to come to the reception first to ask them to add the acces to the Wellness to your card. They couldn't give the bathrobes and slippers straight away, had to wait for them to bring. In the Wellness there no explanation how to use the rooms and no one there to ask.

It was good for 2 days stay, close to the metro and quick to get to the centre.

I only stayed for 1 night, and the next day around an hour before my check-out time (12:00), a possibly cleaning lady knocked on the door several times, I answered but I was in the bathroom, she opened the door and realized that I was still in the room, so she closed the door and left. Then around 11:30, a possibly security guy knocked on the door again, I opened the door and asked what he needed and that I'll be checking out soon. He said he's just checking if I'm still here... This experience was awkward and uncomfortable, I hope the hotel may keep a system for the staff to know which room is going to check out on what day, so as not to mistake the rooms by just judging whether a guest hangs any tags on the door or not.

The front desk staff were (by the check-in and check-out time) both very friendly and nice! Also fulfilled my special request for a higher floor. The location is absolutely great, 2mins walk to the U-Bahn station The room is clean and the hairdryer is powerful. My room's view is not facing any other building, but the railway tracks and a landscape view, so it's really nice. And the sound-proof of the window is also very sufficient.

We weren’t informed that the air condition was not on and though it was raining outside, it was very warm inside the room so we kept the windows open the whole time and it was a little noisy outside.

The room was small and there was nothing except shampoo, not even water. The quality of the breakfast product was good, but some things were insufficient, such as the cheese varieties, the entire price of the night's accommodation. Despite this, it was not considered appropriate.

It was a return visit - the staff kindly stored a bag for me for a week and I returned to Hamburg to meet my wife when she arrived. Very easy transport link from the airport and very close to the station at Barmbek.
