Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt reminded me a but of my student halls. I think that the hotel is actually connected to the local Catholic Church institution. This didn't bother me but I wasn't aware ahead of time and some guests might not be comfortable with that. No kettle in the room.
This hotel was fine for a night. It is quite simple, almost like a nice student halls. The location is good for town. The views are excellent.

GermanyIt was not very nice to hear how our neighbors talk even though they were not loud. I was not able to sort out where the hotel parking, despite it was stated in the description that it exists.
The hotel is located very close to the historical center, many restaurants around. The room was fine, comfortable enough for two. We were able to check in outside reception working hours.

United KingdomThe receptionist on duty when we arrived didn't speak much English ,didn't smile and didn't seem to agree that breakfast was included in our booking.She kept repeating 'booking problem' and we were kept waiting for several minutes until I dug out. my paper copy of the booking .com receipt clearly stating 'Breakfast is included in this booking.' We were then finally given the room key and allowed to go to our room. We went out at about 6.45 when she was still on duty, enjoyed walking around the very pleasant city of Paderborn but when we got back to the hotel at 9 pm the hotel door was locked and we could see reception was unstaffed! We phoned a number by the door and were eventually give instructions on how to gain access- but why was all this not explained to us by the receptionist either when we arrived or when she saw us going out at 6.45?? Being locked out of your hotel at 9 pm is quite stressful and not an experience to be recommended! We checked later but found no info in the room about the hotel being unstaffed at nights whatsoever.
The hotel itself is clean and quiet , and the breakfast was good. A Turkish restaurant is nearby + a supermarket about 10 minutes away + the Altstadt is within walking distance.
