How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was an inner door in the room connecting to the adjacent hotel room. Unfortunately, it was without any soundproofing and any mumbling/TV watching or neighbors talking could be vividly heard in our room, depriving of sleep and relaxation. Never again, unless they have rooms without such doors.
Good location, fair price, fine facilities and a nice complimentary soft drinks mini bar.

Check-in took a while waiting for others before us and then ours itself.

The pillows were hard. We requested soft pillows but when they arrived they were in two parts and not comfortable. We also didn’t have a kettle but on request the pillows and kettle arrived very quickly.
Excellent staff, very good breakfasts with a wide variety and thankfully catering for those with food allergies.

We had a quiet room as we faced onto a courtyard however there was noise from the corridor/adjoining rooms.

The only change I would like to suggest is that the hotel accommodates requests for early breakfast. We had to leave the hotel around 6 am to catch our flight, but breakfast service began at 7 am. We had requested a small breakfast two days prior before our departure, but unfortunately, it was not possible. The breakfast was ready downstairs, but the staff did not let us have it, even though we had it included, due to that it started only after 7. Its a small thing, but I hope the hotel can fix this issue in the future. Apart from this, everything else was great during our stay.
The staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was great, the room was clean, and the location was convenient, close to attractions in Berlin. I would definitely stay again.

There wasn't a kettle in the room- but you can request this (British people problems). Had to always wait for the lift even though only on 1st floor because stairs only seemed to go to the fire exit out front.
Rooms were large and clean. Breakfast had lots of options. Staff were very lovely Location was super easy to get around and some good bars /restaurants within walking distance

We couldn't turn the heat off and it was loud to sleep with the window open. It was central heating. No individual control.
Nice staff. Nice rooms. Great breakfast. Pool Table. Fun atmosphere. Great location. Free minibar.

Rooms were smaller than the pictures. But fine. Bed wasn’t a double but 2 singles pushed together. Common in Europe but come on..it’s 2024. Double beds or larger as standard pls.

I thought the room was very minimalist and could have done with some colour to liven it up. There was lots of unused space in the bathroom.
We liked the reception area and the vibe! There was a live DJ playing on Friday night, and was busy with people. The room was decent. Huge bathroom. The location is pretty good, easy to get to from the airport and Berlin central station. But do need to get a metro or scooter/bike to get around.

We had dinner in the hotel. We waited for it every night for an hour. Waiter was nice, but the restaurant was understaffed, even though there were few guests. Food was good, but there were small portions. Next time I would come but would not pay for dinner. We were hungry after it, had to buy other food for dinner.
Location perfect, staff very friendly (printed out flight tickets), breakfast tasty and quite big variety. Free drinks in the fridge in the hotel were sweet.
