for the price I expected a really nice hotel but it just wasn’t… sexy. the hotel is close to the central station but the area feels rather industrial and is really loud. so you did have to choose between a rather stuffy room or fresh air and loud noise. the drinks in the minibar was a nice touch but there wasn’t a bottle opener… on purpose.

it was clean. minibar was free. the crew was really nice and friendly.

The check in took forever. I must have waited almost an hour before I finally got my key.

The room was very comfortable. Nice buffet for breakfast, everything you n need and good quality. The location is not exceptional, but still pretty near to the city centre and the Hafencity and Speicherstadt.

There were some dirty stains in my room (curtains, carpet, and bathroom walls).

Room was very spacious, so I really like Meliá hotels for staying more than one day, staff is friendly, check in and out very fast.

Location is very convenient traveling from Main Central Station. The place is quiet, clean, and well maintained. A more or less business hotel for a quick stay in the center, We loved the little Sauna option. Thanks!

The view was not nice at all. We looked directly at the railroad. When you list "view" as part of the room description, then you expect definitely something else.

Very good option if you want to visit the "Mehr!" theater in Hamburg.

The room did not have enough hangers for the robes or towels and some of the sockets seem not to work.

A few of the staff members at reception had a hard time speaking English. English isn’t my first language either, but it is the “international travel language” and it’s important for staff at at hotel to be able to speak it (in my opinion). Otherwise it is very difficult to communicate with foreign guests. The hotel asked that we would tell them in advance what time we would like to have breakfast the next day. This was not a problem on the first 2 days. But when we wanted to let the staff know what time we would like to eat for the last day, we were told by a receptionist that we would only be able to have breakfast either really early (7.30) or quite late (10.30). This surprised us as we were not informed that there would be a limited number of breakfast spots, and the available times didn’t match our plans for the day. In the end it worked out because they had room for us at the requested time (9 am) but better communication in this regard would have been nice. There were a few long black hairs both in the shower and on the floor next to the wc when we arrived in the first day. Not the worst in terms of cleaning, but not as nice as it could be.

Most of the staff were super nice and helpful! like the awesome guy a reception with amazing nails who spoke perfect English! He was really helpful. Or the girl who showed us to our seats each morning for breakfast! She was super sweet and friendly. The room had plenty of space for 3 people and the beds were comfy. The breakfast buffet was super nice with a big selection! And it tasted great. There is a bus right outside the hotel that drives downtown and through central Hamburg.

The area is not far from the central railway station, but without grocery shops or restaurants nearby. The fee of 30€ for the dog was a bit high, considering the price of the room.

The breakfast was excellent and the receptionists kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable!
