How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The Hair Dryer was not working and even after informing the Housekeeping it was not changed. Even the front desk staff was not bothered when i told them. Not so courteous staff!!

Price was more expensive than I expected for Hamburg - but that could have been due to the Harbour birthday
Room was very comfortable. Reception service was exceptional - found me a USB charger with which I could recharge my phone and save the day!

Staff where friendly check in is not till 3pm but if you ask they will store your luggage till then. Rooms where clean and had air conditioning, the beds where comfortable and the room had a mini fridge and a safe. Toilet was spotless. It was close to the main train station. Great location for using S Bahn and U Bahn.

The price was a little high as I´ve booked a week before staying. The bedroom was small, but well organized.
The location was perfekt as it is front the main station, so it´s easy to move around. Just some steps walking you also can get the main area for shopping. from the window the city can be seen.

We had 4 rooms, 3 of which had problems. We notified the desk and were told the problems would be assessed. Nothing happened. In our room the fridge did not work for our entire stay. The staff acted as though they would rather be elsewhere. A smile from any one of them would have been pleasant.
The cleaning staff did a very good job.

Staff were quite sharp and slow at check-in but seemed quite stressed as they had started using a new computer system. This hotel is 4 star but I think it is really more 3. Saying that I would stay here again as it was a good price and the positives outweigh the negatives.

A bit small room and lavatory. No view due to the location in the downtown area. The new staff handle for check-out took quite some time to complete. Some noisy ambient if stay on the lower floor. May not be suitable for vacation or relaxing purposes.
The room is nice and cozy. Clean and convenient. Located in the center of the downtown near a shopping area and lots of restaurants. The breakfast quality is great with various choices. Value for money compared to the quality and location.

Pillows very airy and flat, but that's just personal choice. Some idiot woke me up at 4am shouting and laughing in the corridor.
Nice and clean room and bathroom. Good shower. Breakfast was fine, lots of food choice.

Coffe-tea facilities in the room would have been nice addition to the room.
Great location, close to the train station and the old city centre. The internet speed was good, and I was able to stream my series. The bathroom was recently renovated and looked very proper.

Pillows could have been more comfortable, and there wasn't much in terms of a lobby. No hotel bar and the breakfast was overpriced. Went to a nearby cafe for less money than the breakfast would have cost.
Room was large for a European city hotel and had a convenient mini fridge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. 12.00 checkout time is also a plus. Overall a good stay and a great location since the Hbf connects to every S/U-bahn line.

Hotel is located perfect at the train station. Stuff medium friendly - very neutral. Clean room, TV works and bathroom is good. There is everything you really need based on medium standard.

My room could be slightly bigger, I had a minor issue with my reservation before arriving at the hotel that I think could be solved beforehand and I wish the hotel had a gym.
Really close to the central station, good value for money, friendly staff, renovated installations and delicious breakfast. Also, it was the first time I saw things like a bonus in euros in case you don't need room cleaning during your stay (I never want, but it was the first time I received money for it).
