Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe internet connection, while available, wasn't very stable and kept disconnecting. The TV had only a few channels available, and all of them only ran infomercials. The view was pretty bad but then again it's not the most important thing for a budget place
The location is fine, close to the river and public transport. All the necessary stuff was available. The shades on the windows were great :)

NetherlandsThe beds were very uncomfortable, that's the reason I would not stay here again. We were visiting Cologne for pleasure, the city center was very far away (at least half an hour by Ubahn).
The studios were clean and proper. The location was easy to reach with public transport. The kitchen included everything you need. The facility overall was well isolated, so you're not bothered by the traffic sound outside.

AustriaThe concept is not executed well. The detail I received to enter the apartment did not work. When I called for assistance I spoke to four different people over a space of 30 mins ( while standing in the rain) and two of those people did not speak English. Frustrating. Plus, the heating/air con was above the bed. Noise all night and difficult to sleep.
The concept of iApartmemts is a good one. To have a studio and to have it setup with minimalistic staffing and allow the customer to enter and setup how they wish is better than most hotels.

HungaryThe bathroom was disgusting. I had to complain about leftover feces and black mold in the toilet/on the shower head on the first day. We later discovered massive limescale and green mold on the tap's mouth as well. The room was not air conditioned, it was hot and humid and we had a hard time ventillating it. The bed was too small and the pillows were bad quality, uncomfortable ones. The stools in the kitchenette were super small and uncomfortable too, we never sat on them. There was only one glass provided for the two of us and no shower gel (it was on the list on Booking.com). Salt and sugar were also not provided, which made it more useless to have a "whole" apartment for 3 nights (we were hoping for a better equipped place). The dishes were standing in an open cabinet dirty, so we had to wash everything before use (dust on everything). Staff was nowhere to be found, and didn't do much to help a couple who lost their keycard in front of the hotel (we found it and took action). Overall, one of the worst choices I've ever made on this website. Absolutely not recommended!!!

Can't find staff right there in working time (I arrive before 5PM but no one in the room and RING can't reach, when I can't find key no one can help!) and paper note pasted on the door of staff office just giving your service line in emergency case. Besides, phone receiver never know which area your hotel is (you need to tell him which city you are because they have so many hotels in different cities). Any emergency case you call and must transit and transit want to reply later. (even they don't have your booking data info like contacting phone etc).
The location is good for transportation, food restaurant searching and supermarket purchasing.
