If you are traveling as a tourists IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. if you want just to check something close by then its ok its Toooooo far from everything, I arrived late night and the only restaurants available 20min walking and really expensive. -You need to do your own bed when you arrive, -there is no bathroom on the room, you need to go across the building to go to the bathroom - You need to rent the towels - they gave me a blankets that was really dirty and yellow…. - the mattress are really hard. -theres no elevator I didn’t pay much but I wouldn’t have pay more that what i did for this.

Grunewald is a beautiful place and the property allows for quiet and calm.

Nothing. The hostel offers basic standard for reasonable price. If you need a full standard then you can probably find it in the hotel, which is placed in the same building.

We stayed in a youth hostel so the standard was basic, but we had everything we needed. The place is very quiet and nice, surrounded by relaxing garden and the personnel is very kind and helpful (thank you Michael)! Breakfasts were tasty and the service was really kind. Parking lot was big and there was no problem with parking place. Not far from the center of Berlin.

- The hotel is located in the west part of the city which is fat from the city center and the most touristic spots. It means you need to travel at least 40 mins by public transportation in one way to reach out to the main part of the city. Although, within the daily inter city traveling you can have a good experience of the city from the west to the east. - I had a single room with the shared bathroom. Although the baths were comfortable and clean, but it was far from my room, and it was teribally annoying.

Nothing, all was perfect

Single Room with shared bath : cozy room with nice view. You can stay here at a reasonable price in the area where the super-rich are staying. The area around the guest house offers many nice walks around the Grunewald forest area with several lakes. Easy to reach by S-Bahn if one does not mind a 20 min walk from S-Bahn station. A bus also passes nearby. Shared bathrooms top clean with good hot showers. Very friendly reception staff. One must prepare the bed by its own with bed sheets after arrival, but this is a youth guest house, not a Marriott. I would love to enjoy this calm place soon again.

I ordered Lachsfisch from the restaurant of the property , it was terrible It was burtn and oily. Internet connection was so bad I got 4 bed room and the beds didnt have light The shared kettle was dirty

Amazing location close to Grünewald, historical building, very friendly personnel, lovely cafe in the inner yard with a great choice of local food to enjoy breakfast in a very peaceful welcoming setting.

Difficult access to fourth floor, one lift on the other side of the building, which only reached the third floor, unclear signage for washing/shower facilities, inflexible check-out time and insensitive and unnecessary comments from reception staff ('about time too', through a mouthful of breakfast) about overstaying checkout time (about seven hours after checking in and two hours less than a decent night's sleep once you've showered and made your own bed) mean that it would not be my first choice to rebook. However much the offering of accommodation might be either a sideline to their main business, or considered an offering of charity (it's a religious establishment), I'm also a customer paying for a service and somebody's wages.
