Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe boat is moored close to the Old Town and main tourist attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff (and dog and cat). Family atmosphere. You can communicate in English without any problems. The other guests were very quiet and friendly too. Warm and clean cabines. Everything tiny (it's a boat), but beds long enough for an adult person. Organic yogurts, milk, teas, coffee, oatmeal and various types of breakfast cereals are available for guests all the time. Small and cosy living room/kitchenette with dishwasher, plates, cups and cutleters. Toilet and shower are separated, with soap, shower gel and shampoo. Towels and a hair dryer are available on the shelf in the corridor. I highly recommend.

GermanyThe boat was easy to find but about a 12 minute walk from a bus/train stop. If I had stayed longer, I would have rented one of the offered bikes to aid in getting to and from town more quickly. Additionally, the cabin walls are quite thin--this was unfortunate when I had some loud neighbors on my second night, however, it did not spoil my stay.
A lovely little houseboat with lots of nautical charm!! I much appreciated the included breakfast items.

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like if you are prepared for staying on a boat where space is limited. We packed a small bag with what we needed for the night. We parked on an industrial estate within easy walk of the boat and this was security re: presented of cctv cameras on the industrial units !
Unique place to stay in a great setting close to Bremen centre. Breakfast was not expected, though much appreciated, and was very good. Company on board also added to the really great experience of English, Danish and German citizens all having a beer together on deck. The cabin beds were really comfortableand cosy.

United KingdomThe only downside is the location. It is a 10/15 minute walk to the nearest bus/tram/train stop or 20-30 minute walk to the centre HOWEVER they do have bicycle rental which would make it a lot easier to get into the centre. My partner was not keen on cycling so we did not indulge. The location does however add to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere on board so I can't really complain.
This was a fantastic and unique experience! We were welcomed aboard by Kat who was very friendly and welcoming. She really saved us because the forward cabin we were staying in could only be accessed down a hatch but we had big suitcases with us - so Kat let us store our cases in another more-accessible room which luckily was not booked up (so don't depend on this, just pack light or book a bunk room!). Unfortunately we were only there for one night but this accomodation offered everything we needed and was nice, calm and comfortable.

United Kingdomonly downside - which taking into account it being a boat rooms were a little small but didn’t take away from the trip.
unique stay on a boat just outside Bremen town centre. approx 30 min walk from central station. friendly staff (and dog!) who also makes a good guard dog when returning late at night! Room was relatively small however great to rest your eyes at night. great views from the top deck. Also the ability to take the bicycles available to explore the city was a great help.

GermanyThe bed was unfortunately not comfortable (it felt very hard on the back) and because of that I wasn't sleeping well and the purpose of staying there was to get a good night's sleep before my long journey home the next day. As the staff is super friendly and caring, I'm sure that they will look into this and before I will stay again I will ask if a change was made.
Warm welcome and a good check in with all facilities explained. Lovely and cute cabin with everything you need in it. Free yoghurt and coffee for breakfast was a very nice touch. I recommend this unique property and would like to stay there again.

FinlandAs the ventilation is small in boats it was quite hot. I should have kept the room door open.
It was a great experience to sleep in a boat. It was also possible to make breakfast in a small kitchen. The host had reserved muesli and fruit as well as beverages for the guests.

The whole experience was fantastic! I stayed 3 nights on board. Instructions were clear when I arrived. “Ronja” is comfortable, it has all what you need on board. The shower was hot and with good pressure. I stayed at cabin 2, good size with a sink and a heater. Bunch of fruits, yoghurt and muesli were available for breakfast as well as thee and coffee, Katharina and Benjamin are very nice hosts. I had the boat by myself, glad to shared the top with a fluffy puppy and a nice cat at the evenings. I truly recommend the place!

GermanyThe rooms are small for 3. We woke up to alarm at 7:20 as the room run out of air and our breath evaporated. The kitchen area is really small and you need to take your time as several people needs it in the morning.
Great experience for a short stay especially with the kids, probably would be much better at nice weather.
