No blinds/curtains in the window. Uncomfortable, soft foam mattress. Squeaky bed. No lift (3 floors). The room was on the top floor (under the roof), which means that it will get very warm in peak summer.

It was a bit strange that noone was at the reception and 3 people were waiting (even if it was early for check in). Very thin doors. Luckily I was so tired and had lack of sleep the previous day so after some loud groups I fall asleep. But I could hear basically everything.

I am a very light sleeper but the bed and pillow were so confy it was easy to sleep well after a long day. The bathroom was so great, clean with a big shower I loved to hop under it. It was extremely close to the city center. They checked me in with two other traveller 30 min earlier.

Accommodation was ok, but in my opinion the breakfast could have been better for the prize.

All in all it was ok. The locality was almost in the centre of the city. Also the room was fine. As I was on the road with my bike I appreciate bike garage for it.

Sometimes it was quite confusing how to get in and out of the hostel, especially on Sunday when most doors were closed. The Hostel was a bit of a maze sometimes but after a while I figured it all out.

The hostel was all around great to stay at. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, there were enough amenities and a very clean hostel.

A simple hostel next to the old town of Trier. The equipment is simple and the rooms are old. The room is rather crowded. But it's right next to the old town, which is a great advantage.

Excellent location. Simple small room. Great value for money. Breakfast is available for 9 euros. Simple fayre. Trier has some great walks nearby. Ask at the tic.

Very few options were available for Breakfast specially for vegetarians. Suggest to add some more dishes in the breakfast.

Groups of teenage boys could perhaps be dissuaded from loitering on the stairs. I wouldn't even have bothered mentioning this but one of them evidently decided it would be fun to try and intimidate individuals by deliberately following quickly behind them and shouting "OI!".

Rooms were faultlessly clean and, though very simple, were plenty comfortable enough. Location is excellent, and when the DJH hostel is closed out of season, nothing in the immediate area can compete with the Kolping Hostel on price. Staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. Showers and toilets are in communal blocks, but there are plenty of them, and again they are well maintained.

Nothing was wrong, it was a simple budget place. The bathroom was shared, as I knew, which could be a problem if it was busy, but it wasn't.

More simple than I expected, it looks grand from the outside but it was like a student room, small with simple fittings. But it was in a great spot very central and the price was much less than anything else.
