Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomI didn't like that the "double bed" was 2 single beds pushed together. The breakfast options weren't labelled to help guests know which food they can or cannot eat. For example, one omelette had pork in it and the other didn't, I only knew because I asked as there was nothing to distinguish them. The curtains over the window in the room wasn't big enough to cover the windows to offer enough privacy. See picture to see how much privacy we had with the curtains.
I love the size of the room, the size of the bathroom and the selection on offer at breakfast. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming too, I love the location as it was right in front of the train station.

Very central location! Very good bread for breakfast. Clean and cosy breakfast room. Charming, but dated old hotel. Very quiet room facing back yard.

FinlandThe bathroom is quite small, water can fall onto the floor. The bed is not too comfortable to sleep. It would have been better if the hotel had used a key card instead of normal key to access the room, the key was quite heavy to carry around when going outdoor.
The hotel staff are very friendly and supportive. Breakfast is decent with plenty of food and drinks to select. The hotel is located opposite to the Hamburg central railway station, which is very convenient in terms of public transportation.

IrelandOn our booking everything was paid but reception staff charge me again for City Tax ( not a lot but why I need to pay double for something what was paid already) even when I showed him confirmation details from Booking.com app. Our flight was changed for Monday so I have booked another night with the same hotel ( 1 month before visiting Hamburg) for 2 adults and 1 child. So after first night we have to do check out and check in few hours later to be accommodate to different room. And then the reception lady said that I have to pay extra for 1 breakfast because my son is looking like adult and over 18 years old and he's not a child . Even when I showed confirmation that full breakfast is included for all of us. When you do booking on booking.com you are asked for age of your child and the website is qualified him as a child ( he is 15 years old) . Again don't have problem to pay extra but I thought everything is sorted and we never had any problems on any hotels in past.
The hotel is OK for short Weekend Brake. Very close to main train station ( 1min walk) , short walk to city centre and all must see places. Breakfast was good. Comfortable beds.

The room is very clean with high ceiling looking over to the Hamburg Central Station clock tower. We get to enjoy live music from our room when there's a live band across the street. There's a popular restaurant next door that you can try out. Even when the restaurant was blasting EDMs or crowded, we can't really hear them in the room which is a huge plus!
