Hotel La Scala is near to center of Geilserkirhen, Westphalian University of applied science, have a good breakfast, Italian meal and very nice owner. If you are businessmen, professor or person who love small , intime hotel, than is definitely La Scala.

There is no elevator and the room was on the first floor. Being Monday, the restaraunt was closed so we had to find a restaraunt in the town centre

However, there are a couple of areas where there is room for improvement. Firstly, the room temperature was uncomfortably warm during our stay. We had to resort to leaving all the windows wide open to try and cool down the room. It would be beneficial to have better temperature control options, such as adjustable air conditioning or fans, to ensure a more comfortable environment for guests. Secondly, it was disappointing to find that there was no complimentary water in the room. This is a small but important amenity that is commonly expected in hotels. Having complimentary water readily available for guests would be a nice gesture and greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the comfort and convenience of the stay, allowing guests to fully enjoy their time at the hotel.

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. Despite arriving at the hotel late in the evening at 10 pm, they went above and beyond to accommodate us and even prepared a delicious meal for us in the adjoined restaurant. This level of dedication and customer service truly exceeded our expectations. The rest of the staff at the hotel were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm and approachable nature made us feel right at home. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests we had, which enhanced our overall experience and left a lasting positive impression. Another standout feature of our stay was the tranquil and quiet location of the hotel. It provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, allowing us to unwind and rejuvenate after a long day of traveling. We were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful the surroundings were, contributing to a restful and uninterrupted sleep. The highlight, however, was the option to sit outside for breakfast. It was such a joy to start the day in the fresh air, enjoying a delicious meal while taking in the surroundings. The outdoor seating area provided a lovely ambiance and added another delightful aspect to our stay. We are truly grateful for the outstanding hospitality provided by the hotel, from the late-night meal to the friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere.

No one about to speak to. One of the beds was missing a top sheet and it was late by the time we found out. There was only an emergency contact number and as we had an early start we we just decided to use the bed as it was.

The room was very much on the minimal side. Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room was a disappointment. This would be a big plus for most people I'm sure if you were to provide this. We only stayed the one night so this wasn't really a massive issue.

It appears that there are only three parking spaces on site for hotel and restaurant use. However, on street parking was available.

We traveled with 2 large dogs and the room was a little small for all 4 of us, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

We booked a night at Hotel La Scala as it’s easy to get off/on the motorway from there. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and we were still able to order dinner although the restaurant was about to close (I’d recommend the lasagne) Both the hotel and restaurant are dog friendly. The location is perfect. Less than 10 min walk to a small park are.

The room is at least 30 years old, ugly, dusty and uncomfortable. Not clean with piles of bird poo on the windowsill! I never give negative reviews but this demands it. It's clear whoever runs this hotel doesn't care at all.

The staff was very nice and welcoming. Especially in the morning when we had breakfast. Mara always welcomed us with a smile and offered us right away if we wanted tea or coffee. The restaurant is of course italian, but even the rooms had an italian vibe to it. It actually made me miss to go back to Italy.

The staff was very nice, especially those in the morning during breakfast. The staff named Mara always welcomed us kindly and often checked on us if we're good or needed anything else. She's very hospitable. The hotel in general has an italian vibe. It made me want to travel back to Italy again.
