Our expectations were indeed for a 3 star hotel. However, it was not cleaned properly (toilet seat had traces of drops and no sign that it was cleaned), the shower curtain holder was broken, the bedding and some of the towels were smudged yet clean (which is fine, but still was not comforting to see), the bathroom is filled with scotch tape covering cracks in the ceiling/walls as to not swell more. Maybe fix some of these issues, and get a guy to slap some paint in the bathroom rather than putting scotch tape 😅 Another thing was the safe, which contained batteries that were almost dripping, and, of course, was unusable. But worst of all is that when we arrived from our travels, tired AF, our neighbors were having a very loud karaoke party complete with shouting, at 22+ in the evening. Of course I wasn't going to complain to the hotel and have them know who complained. I don't like confrontation. All in all, make sure that what IS provided actually works. Fix the stuff, and then it's a perfectly good 3 star hotel! I would have rated it 10 if it was clean and the things weren't broken.

The location is excelent. Quiet and not far from U-Bahn or S-Bahn. Stayed in the area before and can recommend also due to the beautiful Tierpark in the vicinity. The staff was really, really nice 👏

Heater couldn’t be turned off even in summer. Ground floor room didn’t allow the window to be fully open. Reception service extremely slow.

The room got a bit too hot during the night because there wasn't any a/c, but keeping the window open fixed the problem.

The room was surprisingly quiet for a city hotel. Basic amenities but lots of space in the room, although a tight fit in the bathroom. I appreciated the desks and bench in the room for storage. As a family of 4, we had lots of room.Good location

Poor hot water pressure in the shower, very poorly cleaned toilet. There were always problems with the safe and we could not use it.

The heating can be cold sometimes, and I didn't have a great sleep for two nights, probably because of the cold room.

I like the breakfast, the room was decent for the price range, and the location is really quiet yet close to the center.

Elevator takes a while. No real complaints.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had great options! Staff were helpful, and spoke both German and English, which was very helpful! Rooms were clean, spacious enough, had everything I needed for my stay.

Despite informing the hotel ahead of time that we would arrive past 10 PM, I was not allowed to pay by cash (contrary to what the booking and all the communication said). Lucky that another person had enough on their account, because I didn't. More clarity would be appreciated. Lack of something as basic as a small kettle is very disappointing.

We booked a standard room, but were upgrade to a Refurbished room at No charge. The refurbished room are modern and has a bigger bed (160 or 180 cm, not sure). Do recommend this room over the standard (old) rooms. We won't book a standard room next time, even if that is still possible. They are old and not very nice. And the bed is only 140 cm.

Difficulty getting into the hotel after reception had closed. This was quickly resolved by calling a number and getting a code for the key safe

the room was on the ground floor, so the corridor smells like food from the kitchen, that's not good for people on a diet :)

The proximity to the Tierpark is a big advantage, in the morning I enjoyed the song of the nightingales from the nearby branches. The Ghanaian girl who works in the kitchen is very nice and helped us with the transportation arrangements, the staff is generally very friendly, the gentleman who works at the reception is a great character. I will recommend your hotel to friends who come to Berlin, for tourism or business.

I was not too fond of the fact they had a password on the TV that limited the watching to the Freeview channels. The TV had Netflix, Prime, and Disney+, all of which I could have accessed with my accounts, but they refused to unlock them. I also didn't like the large rat I saw outside reception next to the entrance to the breakfast room one morning.

I liked the bed. I liked the position of the hotel, with easy access to busses. I like that we had a bakery 5 minutes away and plenty of restaurants within 15 minutes walking from the hotel.

You have a small stove in the room but no plate or kitchenware is provided. Currently there is an ongoing reconstruction in the building, even though they are paying attention not to cause much disruption, you can hear sometimes drilling and hammering during the day, which is not the best if you want to have a nap in the afternoon

You can hear your neighbors sneeze, cough, everything. Luckily my neighbors were pretty quiet otherwise. The kitchenette is quite old and has a lot of wear to it. Bathroom was pretty old. Because of that the shower didn't feel or look clean.

The single room was a nice size. Pretty big. There is a small kitchenette and the bathroom is a decent size as well. The bed was comfortable!
