Though the room is compact, but it's quiet and facing the garden with good view. Window is not big, but could see a bit the lack. Have a big and nice garden, good for a short walk, and also can seat nearby the lack enjoy the nice weather. Very good locations, nearby both the "5-see-Fahrt" as well as the "Grosse Ploen See Fahrt" (opposite of the road)

The room cleaning service was not as we expected. Room floor was not getting cleaned or vacuumed so after few days of stay it was quite a mess and we had to clean it partially ourselves to be able to walk around on barefoot.

Location is great, also rooms feel modern and new.

The room was too hot but keeping a window open during sleep was no option as the traffic was so loud. It was actually difficult to sleep, despite great beds and a great room, due to the sound of traffic. Might be better with a room facing the back and not the front?

The lake behind the Lake House was already magic. Great rooms, great beds and extremely friendly staff. It was really close to go for a beautiful long hike next to the water.

A fridge in our own bedroom but this is me being picky. We had a fridge on the landing shared with the room next door. An English menu would have been a bonus, but hey, we were in Germany so fair play.

Everything! Arriving with a big Labrador after 5 hrs in the car this was the dream hotel. Outdoor fields for our dog to run and roam, lovely lake for human and doggy swims together (at the bottom of the field away from the hotel is a small secluded beach - perfect!). Dinner in restau was simple but so good. Wine list was great. Breakfast was faultless. A place I know we will come back to.

The windows in our room were facing the road but had excellent double glazing which blocked out the road noise. It did however get very noisy when we tried opening the window for a bit of fresh air and unless they provide aircon this could be a problem in the summer. The staff were polite but not particularly helpful, I ended up with a very small serving at dinner because there was little help with explaining the menu in English. (The waiter explained in good English after the meal so it was not a language problem.)

Lovely location by lake and great outdoor seating area but front of hotel very close to busy road. Room smart, modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, supper had limited choice probably because there were only a few guests staying. We used the hotel as a stopover on the way to catch a ferry in Kiel, it was an easy 30 mins drive the next morning.

The hotel is situated by the main road into Plon and as such is extremely noisy with traffic all of the time. The rooms don’t have air conditioning so if its hot you have to keep your windows open and the traffic noise is unbearable. We had booked not understanding this and when we got there the room was at the front of the hotel by the road. Luckily for us (and i mean luckily or we would have had to move hotels at great expense and inconvenience) the receptionist moved us to a ground floor disabled room at the side of the hotel which was slightly larger ( be warned the front rooms barely hold a double bed) and faced the car park at the side. This was acceptable. Be warned though that the car park also has its comings and goings most of the day. The hotel does not have any evening eating facilities and closes reception at night so it feels a little bleak. Breakfast is a perfunctory affair. Walking into Plon will take you 25 minutes and local restaurants minimum 20 mins walk close very early for evening meals. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel for an extended break again but if you were travelling through and needed a quick pit stop for the night it might work.

The hotel was indeed by a lake which is nice. There are gardens to walk around close by but the lake is surrounded by private houses. Easy to park. In an area of lovely country and walks around the largest lakes are nearby.

One can only imagine how much money was invested in the property, but the potential of it is not being used. Hiding behind staffing problems, no care is being taken of the gardens, terraces and children’s playground as examples. The restaurant is closed. Breakfast is self-service with the charm of a third class canteen. Offers are just ok - certainly not anything good and price worthy. Rooms are nicely decorated though no fridge, no aircondition and zero chance to get a drink after 5pm (when the reception closes). Some issues with floor ledges, doors etc that would require instant housekeeping attention but little interest was shown when mentioning those. The vending machine in the corridor offers a few sweets. No beer or anything you might long for after a long day on your feet. The complete - very nice - property is managed to press the maximum revenue out with the least imaginable investment. Probably a great place before Coronavirus but now managed in a way to barely survive. Very sad show! It will probably close down soon if things don’t change dramatically. But I sincerely hope things will improve as it is a great place!

Severely overpriced for what you get. I don't think I have ever slept so uncomfortable. The pillows are worn-out fluff in a pillow case. There's no walking trails on the property, you have to drive out for this. The cafe doors are heavy and impractical to open when you are doing a buffet and have no hands (every.single.time) . Theres no escalator, or if there was, its not visible. So you have to carry kids and heavy bags on flights and flights of stairs. There's no curtains, only blinds, so the room doesn't get dark. In summer this is completely unpractical and does not support a good rest.

Facilities and room were in great and cosy condition. Breakfast was awesome with lots of dishes to choose from. The property is located very close to nature and hiking trails, but the old town of Plön is still easy to reach by walking, which is especially very nice if you choose to do a little detour and walk along the lake.

I rented two rooms. We were given them in different areas: one was large, the other was small. Same price for each room. It was not fair.

It was a good location. Wished we could have stayed longer but we did not have the time.

Eventhough we have communicated that we wished a quiet room, it was not allocated for us. When we asked the staff upon the check-in, she apologised and gave the reason that the room to the garden is categotised at higher price which this should be fine for us, if we have known beforehand. So on that day there was no possibility to upgrade anymore as the hotel was fully booked. So we wish that the communication should have been better if the guests expressed a wish.

The room was tidy and modern. The location is good as it is situated between the two lakes.
