The breakfast was very good. Location, a long way from Dusseldorf and the Messe, but with a car, not a major issue. Good job there is GPS! Good value for money during Convention time in Dusseldorf.

Everything was excellent.

I liked everything. The staff was kind and professional, and they spoke a little bit of English; I spoke a little bit of German, and we met halfway. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the food was excellent. The Internet is also great. The only thing you need to remember is that it is located 20 minutes by bus from Erklenz and that there are no buses on weekends. But that is a minor inconvenience. All in all, an excellent stay. And the horses are also lovely to pet.

On this visit everything was great apart from glitch with evening meal portion of chicken.

Breakfast buffet was a good selection of food. Evening meal Mon to Thursday , no choice of meal, just one option, on our stay it was, a serving dish of noodles, another with cooked peppers, another of chicken in white sauce. Self serve. Simple food but excellent, however quite mean with the amount of chicken in the white sauce and customers were trawling the serving spoon through vast amounts of sauce to try and find pieces of chicken. They do provide a list of local restaurants to eat at and the address and phone number of a pizza delivery outlet. At the end of the corridor to the rooms was a small communal room where tea and coffee and a small fridge containing cold alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks could be found. Coffee and tea free. Insufficient paper cups available. Bedroom was large, all very clean, with a good size, well thought out shower room also very clean. Parking was easy and lots of it on site at no cost.

We had thought we had booked a room with our dog.This was not the first night we stayed in a hotel and everything went smoothly elsewhere. So we were very surprised when told our dog had not been expected. Obviously a miss communication and we can not say who was at fault. It could have been ourselves. However it was not until later that evening that we were informed of this and told we would have to pay an extra charge as we were in a none dog friendly room. Apparently they only have 1. Our question is why we were not put in to that room when we arrived. There were no other dogs present and we were seen clearly with our dog. In the end we are the ones who paid for the error at a cost of £50? Lesson learned and we will always double check in future. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful while others less so.

The room was very comfortable and the bed particularly so. The bathroom was lovely with a bath and separate shower.

You asked about breakfast which was fine. Fried eggs poor as not cooked fresh but not expecting anything cooked. We were very grateful for the concern of one of the staff (? a cleaner ) who helped and advised us on a clothing store in a nearby town

There was no dinner on Saturday but Booking.com sent me the email with dinner availability and the price of it. We have been surprised when arrived and ordered food delivery.

It was a holiday weekend but on the Sunday after breakfast the cafe and bar closed for the day meaning we had to find an alternative place for dinner and drinks.

Superb accommodation. Very welcoming, staff were amazing ,dog friendly.Quiet and relaxing for a break. Saturday the courtyard was busy and the young lady waiting on was exceptional in service.
