The bathroom facilities were not as fancy as the living room, but absolutely okay.

In the morning there was no one at the reception who could speak German or English, couldn’t ask for anything.

Wonderful place, woman at the desk spoke perfect English. Room was nice, clean and comfortable.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was large, spacious and well equipped. The hotel is in a quiet village perfectly situated to atop off on route to Hamburg Airport.

A very beautiful place giving a feeling of a time in nature - and yet very comfortable. Great interior design, varied and beautifully served breakfast, garden with roses, quiet benches and trees. The staff was very friendly an helpful.

It is a really pretty hotel, large rooms and when you arrive with kids they make sure everything you need is arranged. The owners are really polite, kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.

Lovely and stylish hotel in a beautiful old building near Hamburg, very convenient for the motorway. Very friendly service, excellent breakfast with a lot of choice. A pity there is no restaurant apart from breakfast. But the landlady kindly let us eat our take-away from the excellent Italian next door on the premises and let us use all we needed from the hotel - plates, cutlery, glasses... And we could buy our drinks from the fridge accessible around the clock. All in all a good solution - and even cheaper than going to a restaurant! :-)

One of the rooms smelled a bit stale and the bathroom had a tub/shower combination that was not suitable for most adults. None of the windows had mosquito nets and as there was no air conditioning we had to decide between a lot of mosquitos (and wasps!) or no fresh air.

Breakfast was delightful and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, overall design of the hotel and the size of rooms was very good. Lovely garden / outdoor space!

We booked a small house in the garden. It was amazing! Lots of space and extremely comfortable bed. We also went for a walk because the scenery is so beautiful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we needed to go elsewhere for a dinner.

Room was very spacious and cozy. Beautiful garden with lots of places to sit and enjoy nature. Breakfast had a lot of different options and the food was quite exquisite.

We chose the hotel because it is a boutique hotel and had an expectation of sitting in the lounge in the evening with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. When we got to the hotel after dinner at 8.30pm it was unmanned and dark and we had to go to our room instead. It is quite unusual to have to pay for coffee and tea in this type of hotel.

Nice hotel in charming surroundings. Very high level of service and we were well received when we arrived. Nice interior and beautiful garden. Several good options of coffee, beer and wine that you could choose yourself and then pay at checkout. Next to the hotel is an Italian restaurant with good food and high service.
