How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Many noise from the airplane and football match till 10pm.The room seems to be hot that why we need open window. Other guest make the noise from closing their door. It make us no good sleep.

Eighties look and feel (not only esthetics but also state of hotel/rooms). Breakfast in assigned time slots. Manager behaving unprofessionally towards colleague in front of guest. Limited parking spots.
Close to Koln/ Leverkusen. Clean rooms.

As someone who was struggling walking with crutches it would have been nice to have been offered help with the self service breakfast but none was forthcoming.

The pathway to rooms was a little narrow. Also there is no elevator. I know in Europe sparkling water is quite common site especially in the hotels. However, when asked for a replacement of them with still water, the receptionist reacted as if I asked something which is restricted. Later she did replace the bottles but again gave the sparkling water. When we went back to ask, the reception was closed.

Room 1966 is on top of the kitchen - fumes and noise is irritating. All other rooms are fine.

The room was very warm with no possibility to cool down which made the sleeping comfort rather low. For me this is the most important feature of a hotel room: possibility to have a good rest.
The hotel was actually really nice, only one thing I did not like and that was the room, which was very small and especially very warm.

We felt that this time the staff was not as friendly. It almost felt like we were being treated like second class guests as we had not booked directly with the hotel (which was not possible at the time of booking). Especially the breakfast staff was not very friendly but very stressed about where we could sit (even though there were still open tables). A little too over regulated for our liking.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and enjoy the set up

They did not clean the room daily, it has to be demanded at reception desk, I do not if it is paid apart. Breakfast is a little bit short, but good quality and healthy (no bakery).
Good and friendly personnel. Very silent in the neighborhood. Room newed, the bathroom is big and has windows to outside of the buiding. Big windows and very good heating.

- The way staffs response to us- horrible - we had a 3 bedroom apartment, the bathroom upstair is shared by 2 rooms with 4 people but it is so tiny - The windows upstairs have only 1 layer of curtain, in the afternoon when the sun shines directly into those rooms, it was very hot. - There is no iron board neither iron in the room, you have to go to the hallway in the main building upstair to do it, and the ironing board there is awkward. - it is an apartment but there is no washing machine. - They cleaned the room and changed towels everyday but didn’t refill the body wash and shampoo. For 4 days staying we had to use 1 tiny bottle of shampoo.

I saw N pictures of animals all over the hotel, including the pool, when I saw that I thought was a nice place to go with my dog, but unfortunately is all lie. I just went to this hotel because of the pictures and all the places that my dog could be. In the end, she only could go to the room and the garden. It is ok if my dog can not go to others' places, but if you see the picture you will think is a very friendly hotel The room did not look like in the picture, mine has carpet, I ask for 2 single beds because I went with my mon, and I receive one double bed.
Good breakfast. Nice staff.

Too big pillow and queen bed next to a wall... Uncomfortable... Dated design, specially bathroom. Very average breakfast..
Close to Cologne, nice restaurant next to the hotel, great details related to music, available turntable with plenty of great vinyls, very nice detail!
