The reception was very kind to us and very polite. They helped us store our bags before check-in and after check-out. Our hotel room was very tidy, interior design was minimalistic and very elegant. The bed was comfy. We really enjoyed staying there.

Fantastic location, walkable from the train station. Staff were friendly, it was my husband's birthday and they ending up not charging for the breakfast as a gift! That was very generous and unexpected.

The restaurant/bar off the lobby was not open throughout the day.

This hotel's location is excellent, right around the corner from the cathedral and walking distance from everything in Cologne's old town. It's even standing directly over a subway station.

One of the best experiences I had in hotels! Everything was spotless, the staff was beyond kind and helpful and the room was simply amazing. The bed was super comfortable, shower was amazing, everything was clean... The location couldn't be better!

Hotel was difficult to fine and kind of tucked away. I wasn’t sure I was in the correct place until I walk to the end of the street.

I love the small, quaint hotel feel. the view was incredible. Room looked at tge old town hall and I could see the cathedral in the background on opposite side. The room was very architectural. Convenient to mass transit and in the heart of the city. Plenty of restaurants walking distance, definitely the highlight of my trip. Don’t forget to check out the rooftop terrace and have a cocktail.

This was our second stay at the Legend Hotel. Because we knew the hotel was so easy to get to from the station we stayed overnight to break up a long rail journey from Austria to the UK. For this the hotel was ideal. Last time we stayed in a larger suite but because this time we only had the one night we chose a smaller loft room. Although smaller the room was just as nicely furnished, comfortable and quiet as the suite so it suited us fine. The staff were just as good as they were on our first stay and we were just as happy with the hotel. As well as being close to the Station the hotel is also well situated for Cologne's main attractions and many breweries, cafes, and restaurants. We had a great night out in the old town before catching an early train in the morning. If we return for longer stays (as we hope to) we'll stay at the Legend if possible and probably choose a suite again but for shorter stays we'd be happy with the Loft Rooms.

The bedroom was bigger than expected, and well-equipped, with a comfortable armchair. The bed linen was top-notch, and the pillows were excellent – supportive but soft enough to be comfortable.

We prefer to eat breakfast on-site, but the cost for a family of four was prohibitive at 17€ per person.

The location of the hotel is awesome! We loved looking out at the town hall tower from our window. The hotel itself is exceptionally quiet. We never heard the guests next door to us, the elevator, or noise from the street.

No instructions for the coffee machine in the room so unable to have a coffee from it. I suggested to staff that some simple instructions be provided (as other hotels do).

Location was very good as only 5 to 10 minutes from station and very convenient to explore Cologne by foot. We were given a very comfortable room.

The hotel was in an excellent location - very close to Cologne train station and the old town. The hotel was very clean and modern. We were upgraded to a loft room which was a nice surprise! The unexpected sandwiches, coffee and juice for breakfast were delicious!! The front staff were friendly and helpful. We would come again when in Cologne.

Modern, spotless and very central hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Restaurant is small but good things definitely come in small packages, has an exclusive feel with fabulous food and great staff. An added bonus was an upgrade for our special celebration to one of the suits, stunning room and very much appreciated. Will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend to others!

As other people have said, lack of a proper breakfast is something perhaps to work on? I'm not really a big breakfast person though so it didn't bother me too much, but some pastries/croissants on offer might have been nice. The hotel's restaurant is very upmarket which is hardly something negative... for me, personally, I just wish they had a few less fancy options for when I was a bit tired and didn't feel like going out and wanted room service etc. (like a basic pasta or pizza or French fries type of thing). But that is just my personal preference and the quality of the food that they do serve was superb. Also, this doesn't really matter too much since you can get a takeaway pizza literally around the corner in the square.

The staff are just amazing. Genuinely some of the nicest, most friendly, most helpful staff I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always more than happy to go above and beyond. The room was incredible. Clean, modern, well-furnished. Had everything you need and again, honestly, was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in. The location is also PERFECT. You are only a short walk round the corner from the Cathedral and all the shops etc., but without feeling like you are in the touristy shopping part. You are also right next to the old Town Hall and its square with a vibrant atmosphere and lots of restaurants & beer venues etc. Another short walk and you are at the banks of the Rhine. If I ever come back to Cologne, this is where I will stay. Absolutely recommend it!

Would really love an option for the breakfast. The coffee machine is a nice plus, but it's making a lot of noise! Had the feeling I woke up the whole hotel using it.

The hotel is well located, you have everything you need nearby (shops, restaurants...) and the main train station is only 5 minutes walking. The room was nice and the bed comfy, and the street is really quite. Went there with my little dog without problem, you just need to let them know that you are coming with one.

I can't think of anything I disliked.

The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great and I was pleasantly surprised to find washcloths were provided! The staff members we encountered were very friendly and professional, and remembered us even though our interactions were not elaborate. The location was great as well; very convenient to trains and several attractions.

A little noisy if the windows were open. The noise comes from the busy plaza that the hotel faces.

It’s a new building walking distance from the train station. Location is excellent.The on site restaurant is working towards a Michelin ranking but not pretentious.Nice size rooms.One of our nicer stays during our trip.
