How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Personal taste, but the mattress was quite soft for us.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. The location is absolutely perfect - very close to Friedrichstrasse station and underground, walking distance to Reichstag, Brandenberg Gate and river tour jetties. Many, many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a room facing into a courtyard, so there was virtually no noise. The rooms, while fairly compact are very well designed. The shower was excellent, everything was very clean.

The bed wasn’t fixed in anyway so if you tried to sit up in bed it moved away from the wall. A small thing but it frustrated me! Understand that hotels are trying to be more eco-friendly but part of being in a hotel is coming back to a clean room. The in room tablet tried to persuade me not to accept room cleaning. Another small but annoying thing.

Not enough coffee whitener in the room for coffee. Just 2 little packets ! Unfortunately didn’t realize there was a complimentary coffee stop adjacent to the lobby…

The AC doesn’t work well and you can’t open the windows of the room. Ventilation wise it was challenging. Rest was great!

The room could be too hot and it was very small. Perhaps we should have availed of the upgrade that offered for a small fee before we arrived.
Excellent location. In the heart of a fantastic area, with the river, restaurants and bars. Just a few minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is set back from the hustle and bustle and is surprisingly quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bed. 1 bottle of water not enough.
Great location with access to shops, restaurants, travel etc. Breakfast at 22Euro too expensive so we ate outside in nearby cafe for less than this. Room was fine, great AC and very clean but a bit short on bottles of water. bed was a bit softer than I am use to but OK

The mattresses in our room were so well used it felt like they had no springs in them because of lack of support. The pillows are possibly the worst pillows I’ve ever used
Great location, had all amenities, large shower in big en-suite. Overlooked a courtyard so had no noise from traffic. Staff were very helpful and were happy to assist with any of our requests

The hallways were quite warm and hot, but that is a more nuisance, the airco in the rooms was working properly.
We had a wonderful reception when arriving. In advance we had asked for two seperate beds, however we were booked into a room with 1 bed. Asking the reception for another room with two seperated beds was absolutely not a problem and done right away. This was so nice! Als we wanted to stay another night - and the extension was also not a problem. Totally wonderful service.
