Parking could be a problem if you are travelling by car; a lot of the parking in the neighborhood requires a permit to park on the weekdays. On weekends, many of the street parking areas are open to all and we found a parking space one block away. Also, as with many historic buildings in Europe, there is no elevator and the hotel has four floors. It was not an issue for us, but if you have mobility issues or are travelling with older people this might not be the place for you.

The location near the Goethe University and botanical gardens (Palmengarten) was excellent. There are several excellent restaurants, cafes, and a small Konditorei (bakery) nearby and the neighborhood is very walkable. Only a short walk to the Palmengarten and the U-bahn (subway).

The owner and his wife were more than helpful. We could not have asked for more guidance and personal attention, even from family. Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were gorgeous, the interior architecture was exquisite. This is not the Hilton, so much more attractive! The street is quiet and safe and provided very pleasant walking, maybe the best in Frankfurt, plus the hotel is close to Palmengarten, one of Germany's gems.

Although there is a minibar, there is no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee. This is very minor as everything else was perfect.

One thing that is very important to mention is that there is no elevator. This was not a problem for me, but I think that it is something to keep in mind. My room was on the top floor, so that was about 100 stairs that I had to go up and down every day. So, if for any reason you cannot handle the stairs, make sure to ask for a room closer to the ground floor.

This is a family run hotel very close to the University, in a very nice area of Frankfurt. The main reason why I booked the hotel was because I had to be at the University on these days, and I was really happy about my choice because the hotel is literally 5 minutes away from the University. The hotel staff is really nice and welcoming and are very quick to answer questions and help you with providing information.

There isn't much not too like, unless you are looking for facilities such as a gym, spa or 24 hour room service. It is a little removed from public transportation, if that is what you need.

The couple who run it provide a warm welcome and make you feel at home. The place is truly blissful, on a quiet, residential street, with a choice of sleeping with open windows or airconditioning. The breakfast is varied and has many healthy options. I will definitely keep going back, whenever I am going to be in Frankfurt.

Unfortunately we found climbing the stairs to the 4th floor a nuisance as my husband has bad knees. I also appreciate it is not easy to build a lift into an old townhouse without ruining the style.

Beautifully decorated, clean and friendly. Every detail had been thought of and decorated with very good taste that complimented the style of the building. Absolutely loved the front terrace for sitting outside in the evening.

The hotel should not try to steer people into ordering breakfast without mentioning that it's not included in the price. (would have been €16, I believe!)

I used to live in Westend, and thought Liebigstraße the nicest street - and I had noticed this hotel as well. The hotel did not disappoint. My room had a balcony overlooking the street, among the green trees... I would happily have spent more time in my room. Recommended.

Due to Covid restrictions and the fact that I was the only guest, there was no breakfast served, but there is a cafe just around the corner, so no problem. Also, beware that there is no elevator in the hotel, so if you have heavy luggage, be warned.

I was the only guest in the hotel, which is a new experience. The hotel manager / owner was kind enough to keep the hotel open for me. The amenities are good, the rooms are spacious and everything is very clean.

The bed mattresses could be renewed. The blankets were much too warm for the warm weather. The hotel does not seem to have an elevator; it would have been nice if the staff had offered to carry the suitcase to the second floor which they did not.

I like the neighborhood. I liked the soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Room was clean.
