No lift in the property. You have to climb through circular old style wooden staircase with all your luggages to reach to your room. Cleanliness of the hotel may be improved.

The location was very good. Close to central station and city center. Staffs are overall friendly

Check in was confusing, even though we arrived at 3pm there were no staff on site. We did not see the hotel workers much at all and our room did not have towels or other basic supplies and was only cleaned one of the two days. A bit of water or a teakettle would be helpful in the room. Overall worth it for the charm of the historical building, but very bare bones feel (kind of like a hostel) especially if you don’t get the rooms with the bath. Definitely wouldn’t recommend booking any room other than the room with the bath unless you are ok with extremely basic.

The room was a bit congusted. For a family with 4 year old kid, the provided room had two single beds and we had to adjust with that. And sometimes we hear the footsteps outside...

Bed was good and clean. Provided extra shower gel and towels on request. Breakfast was excellent.

Poor breakfast choice, which I expected based on previous comments - hence, no problem.

Hotel with character - feels very different than the usual chains which I enjoyed. Live piano in the restaurant until 11 pm which was a nice atmosphere. Friendly and relaxed staff.

I wish there were hand soaps in the bathroom and/bedroom as well as a fan in the bedroom.

The breakfast was delicious and had great options! The room was spacious, but very hot this time of year. With no AC, we had to leave the windows open and so we heard all the noises downstairs at the restaurant. It was nice that we had the sink in our room, but the toilet and shower were shared. Everything was clean, but it's an older building, so expect creaking and cracks. Cute place and would recommend this place due to it's affordable price and convenience.

Very small room with no air conditioning or table fan, no TV, no phone, no fridge... BUT! This was reflected in the reasonable price.

Staff were all great; really friendly, great location (close to main station), good price for the city centre, the hotel has a great restaurant and bar (open until 1am) with outside seating. Great bar to come back to after sightseeing all day.

My husband and son had to share a bathroom and shower with others, and this wasn't expected. We booked as a family, but the rooms were floors apart. The upholstered chair in our room was filthy. Sheets and bedding were clean, though.

Old world charm! The steps are a killer, be prepared. We travel w carry on luggage but it was still very difficult as the stairs are winding and worn with age. Loved that there was a griddle to fry eggs in the morning. Our room had a separate shower room and toilet, but we had a key, so only we could use them. I loved the decor, chandeliers and old paintings.

The room and bathroom were incredibly small, but it was sufficient. The shower being part of the bathroom and no curtain caused water to get everywhere while showering. Not a good setup.

The restaurant downstairs was excellent and the staff was fantastic!

A bit hard to understand where the reception is, old facilities, no soap in the toilets, no chair where to put clothes in the shower

The stay was truly delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed the blend of piano bar and hotel, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of bygone days. The courteous staff and the serenity of the residential neighborhood, yet conveniently close to the city center, added to the overall charm.

it’s location as it was only a 20 minute walk to the main centre. I had stayed here in 1985/86 and it was pretty much the same

When my wife complained about the heater not working and the room had mold and furnitures dirty and the bed stained. We tried to cancel but they didn't want to give us a refund. They changed our room but again the heater didn't work, at that time they brought a small old electric heater and one of the staff members threat my wife in a menacing intention pointing his finger at her face and yelling at her, we were very close to call the cops, the bed was uncomfortable not tong enough for a 6’2, I liked the breakfast, the vintage style of the hotel and the location was great for Octoberfest and site scene.

although our toilet and bathroom were private they were across the corridor from our rooom room. was a pain in the night and having to keep locking and unlocking it.

nice quirky hotel with good breakfast. The evening meals were very good and restaurant had a good vibe.
