Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFirst hotel from my experience that requires full payment upon check-in for all the nights not yet stayed. Rooms were not well cleaned. In name of eco-sustainability, many usual amenities such as soap bars. hand cream, shower cap, needle kit, etc. not provided. My rubbish bin was not emptied on one of the days and towels not fully replenished. Complimentary bottle of water was provided only on first day of stay. Pillows were too soft and no choice for change to more sturdy ones. Room was stuffy on some nights & had to open windows. In the day time, it could sometimes be noisy but once windows closed, room is sound-proof. There is no concierge service but otherwise counter staff are helpful. TIP: Be aware if you book Uber, choose "Dorotheenstrabe 65" as your pick-up location so vehicle will come up to hotel front lobby entrance. If you choose "Maritim Pro Arte Hotel", pick-up will instead be at side entrance due to the hotel address of "Friedrichstrabe 151"! The later is next to the "Galerie" restaurant that serves the morning breakfast buffet.
Hotel has very beautiful paintings and creative design pieces displayed in lobby. It provided a very aesthetically pleasing ambience especially with many sitting areas to relax & enjoy the unique art pieces. Location of hotel is fantastic! The train and subway stations (Friedrichstrabe) is a mere few minutes walking distance away. There are convenience stores, pharmacies and even a big book shop on the next street. We found a supermarket (look for Edeka City Markt) in the S-bahn station that sells fresh fruits, juices, bread, snacks, beer, etc. and even a Thai fast food cafe (AsiaGourmet)! Near the hotel - next to the Dussmann das Kulturkaufhaus store and under S-bahn tracks, we encountered some very talented buskers playing beautiful music late into the night. Hotel is also close by foot to many sights like Brandenburg Gate, Palace of Tears and Museum Island. Unter den Linden is also walking distance away. Also plenty of restaurants - good dining experience at Block House, Peter Pane and Zur Nolle. Great beers on the menu too!

SingaporeThe room was not cleaned during my 5 day stay. The carpets and toilet were not cleaned. Only the towels were changed, windows opened, beds quickly made and sink counter quickly wiped. I was in the room one day when this was done and all this was completed in around 2 minutes! Advance payment for the 5 day stay was also asked for at check-in (not check-out).
I liked the location of the hotel, close to the S-bahn and U-bahn stations and also close to Museum Island and other attractions. Breakfast was great with a good range of cereals (including gluten free muesli), toppings, fruits, yogurt, bread, cheese, made-to-order eggs/omelet, tea, coffee, juices, etc. The room is quiet when the windows are closed.

CanadaI really felt that if one asked for a bathrobe it could be provided for free. I felt used being charged 5 euros for it, just because I was in a classic room and not a more expensive room. The room rate was worth a bathrobe, gratis. I have never been charged for something like a bathrobe, please! This at a 4 star hotel! The air conditioning is an issue. Makes no real sense how it functions or doesn’t. It was hot outside but not hot enough to make the air conditioner work, evidently. So in order to keep the room somewhat cool to sleep, one had to leave the window open, which let in all the noise from outside. So you either were too hot with the windows closed or it was too noisy to get a good sleep. Also, it appears that in order to use the pool and the steam room, there is also an extra charge for that.
It is centrally located so very convenient to everything within walking distance to many sites and shopping areas. It is a very clean hotel. Breakfast was very good, too. There is a taxi stand across the street from the hotel, which is convenient.

LithuaniaThe hotel is not far from the train station and tram lines, so when you open the windows at night, you could hear noise. The noise was not very intense. It did not interfere with sleep. The TV was very small compared to the size of the room
Large and tidy room. The bed was very comfortable. They brought us a bottle of water for free every day which was lovely and nice. The location is convenient for tourists as most places can be reached on foot. It is also convenient to get to and from the airport.

United KingdomThe bathroom - insufficient supports for climbing into and out of the bath, which has to be done as the shower is in the bath. Lighting for shaving, and I presume make-up, is poor and the shaving mirror just takes up space for no obvious purpose.
A couple of hundred metres from the major transport hub of Friedrichstraße station makes moving around the city easy. The room itself is comfortable, but the bathroom, as in most hotels, leaves a lot to be desired especially for more elderly people. And while the idea of making housekeeping more environmentally friendly is good, it also means that on days when it does not happen, supplies of teabags, coffee etc in the rooms do not get replenished. The breakfast buffet is excellent and caters to most I should think, and, should you wish, you could eat enough to last the day.

SerbiaIt’s not that we didn’t like it, but we had to make sure with recepion every time that Steam bath is on (even tho it says that it works from 17:30h), because it happened few times that it didn’t work. The only “problem” we had was that in some moments there were a lot of kids who were screaming and jumping to the pool, so it wasn’t really spa-like or relaxing.
Location is amazing! 10/10 Beds are really comfortable ☺️ (But make sure to request the king sized bed if you are a couple)
