The area around the hotel is congested.

Hagen was much bigger than we expected, so we had a bit of trouble finding the hotel. It is right in the middle of the city. It would have been more convenient for us if we could have found a hotel closer to the autobahn. That however, was our problem for misjudging the location. The room was very nice, spacious. One of the best rooms we had during our trip. English speakers readily available.

The bathroom seemed a little dated and tired in places, but everything worked.

The room was very comfortable and mainly quiet. It was only other guests being inconsiderate late at night that spoiled things a bit, but that's not the fault of the hotel.

The room card is fragile. I had to replace my card 3 times during the week. The bed cover was maybe for a kid because not large enough.

There a lot of noise at the hotel - you could here a lot through the walls and the door out to the hall way. Noise from the other rooms, but worst was that the hotel were playing really loud music in the hallway.

The room size and it's facilities were fine. Breakfast buffet was okay.

There was no AC or a fan in the room. It was very hot. No standard toiletries like shower cap etc were offered in the room. You had to go downstairs for an ironing board and iron. It wasn’t clear what plant the first floor was. The elevator would leave you no matter what at the first floor and then you had to go down the stairs with your luggage. The hotel had two entrances but it was also not specified so that taxis would wait and drop you off at different ends and you had to be running from one door to the other to look if your where your taxi would wait. The hotel staff would never be at the actual reception but inside their office.

It was clean and it seamed to be a safe part of town.

It may sound quite silly, but there was a small step between the bathroom and the room that was short enough not be very visible/recognisable, but, at the same time, tall enough to bump in it and hurt our feet. . The pillows provided were only 2 and not very consistent - it might be a personal preference but they sort of disappeared under our head during the night

There were smaller issues with the room. Like the door handle fell off because the proper screws were missing. There was in the evening no staff around in the restaurant. We stood around looking for staff to get food and drinks. The hotel in general looks like it needs an upgrade. It looks old and a bit rundown.

The room temperature was a bit high for our standarts, even though the heating was off. It felt like a good 19 degrees which was not great to sleep in. Even with the window open we could not get the room cooler by a lot.

We had a good size room with two comfy beds. The bathroom was a bid outdated but was clean and did its job as intended. We had a great view towards the courtyard. And the place was overall very quiet. Had a good night rest even thoug the temp was a bit high.

The room. It was like a sauna. Could not turn radiator off so had to try and sleep with window open with a windy night and traffic noise ? Major Inconvenience as Wi-Fi does not work in room. Eventually connected at reception area.

Breakfast was ok. Poor coffee and machine. Scrambled egg like rubber. Bacon inedible. Not worth paying for 2/10

parking can be a little bit tricky as there are pillars in the parking lot this occupying parking spaces. the restaurant is supposed to be open from 6pm on weekdays, but on Friday it was closed. on the phone there’s no guide incase one wants to call the reception. the staff is friendly, but I feel they could be more professional.

the hotel is easy to locate and the rooms are comfortable.

Hotel is probably around 30 years old, built with good solid insulated materials but in the last decade summer temperature and humidity has risen in Germany. There was no air conditioning in our room and we stayed during a heat wave - we really had to sleep with the window wide open and noticed that other guests did the same

Although bathroom was fine, facilities were basic: no fridge (useful in hot weather); no iron (useful for smoothing clothes after travelling); no toiletries, except unbranded liquid soap attached to the wall, and almost too low to get a hand under! Hotel shares a "campus" with the town Stadthalle which appears little used, and the common grounds are derelict-looking, which reflects poorly on the hotel.

Breakfast was fine; gluten free bread provided as requested (I am coeliac). Room was OK; but we'd asked for a quiet/back room and were given one at the front corner overlooking main road and traffic light junction. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is close to town (easy walk). Good shaded parking. Tea/coffee making provided in room.

For the first time in 15 years since I've been staying in this hotel I had really mixed feelings. Upon our arrival the room was muggy and super-hot inside like it's never been aired. Dusty curtains, clogged bath and broken TV set just added more to my mixed feelings. There was no technician on-site to rectify the issues mentioned above. Hotel staff was friendly and apologizing though so okay...

As usual, great location, proximity of good food in the town centre and very tasty breakfast.
